We worked with CET several years ago to install recessed lights in our basement; Rob did a really great install so we knew we’d somehow work with them eventually. Fast-forward to last month: we wanted to install more recessed lights along with a ceiling fan in our living room. Lucky for us, we were able to work with Rob again. The shape of our room is awkward and asymmetrical, but Rob provided some great options and suggestions, and pointed out some details we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. He was professional and completed the task ahead of schedule. It really changed our space for the better -- we’d highly recommend this company to our family and friends. Thanks CET!

Ease of scheduling, along with 2 text confirmations, provided assurance prior to the appointment. The work was done professionally and neatly. He explained where he would cut into the drywall and made sure I was in agreement before he proceeded. I have used CET for other work over the past 6 years and will continue to do so.

This company deserves, if it were possible, more than just five stars. Gary, the owner, is himself an excellent electrician, and he has chosen efficient, reliable, honest people to work for him. I have had Gary do work for me on previous occasions and I feel it is my duty to let others know that such people do actually exist today. It is indeed a pleasure to write about Gary, who is scrupulously honest, reliable, and trustworthy. Above all, he is a thorough gentleman. His is indeed a dying breed. On 11/17/20, I had a difficult situation in my rental property, with the tenant saying that an electrician was needed urgently as none of their appliances worked after a dishwasher install, and there was no power in the house. Gary sent his technician who rectified the situation efficiently and at a most reasonable charge. Such is the honesty of this company. We as consumers truly wish we had more people like him in the trade.

Another great service visit from Certified Electrical Technologies, my go-to electricians I would recommend for anyone. I submitted an online request, and they followed up with a phone call to make sure they understood what I was looking to do. The technician called 30 minutes before his arrival, double-checked to make sure what I was looking to do, and provided his recommendations. The work was done much faster than I was expecting and the charge for the service was much less than what others were looking to charge for similar work. I have used this company multiple times, and they have always been honest with their work and what they charge.

Gary was VERY helpful and responsive in assessing the scope of the job and arranging the work (Condo panels have different requirements for surge protector installation). Technician arrived on time and did the installation quickly and efficiently. (Could have cleaned up after the job a little better). Would hire again.

The tech wasn't able to figure anything out. I had three tasks and none were completed. The real issue was, he was scheduled to show 1-5PM and showed up at 3:45. He had another job after me so he left after a couple hours (1st hour is more expensive). I spent an hour troubleshooting one of the issues myself and fixed it after he left. I'll work the other issues myself. How can I pay hourly and not be promised a result? Crazy business model...

"We typically schedule 1-2 hours of time for diagnostic & small repairs. 99% of the time this is sufficient. It is a large house and a complicated issue. After 1.5 hours we requested to schedule more time to dedicate to finding the issue. The subscriber declined."

Vatthana from Certified Electrical Technologies arrived exactly at the time specified. He quickly diagnosed all of the issues with my home's receptacles and fixed them with seeming ease. He tested other receptacles to ensure they were working properly. He very quickly installed a smoke detector and a lighting fixture with seeming ease. Overall, Vatthana worked very expeditiously and completed all of the work much faster than I thought possible. He was so fast it felt like there was more than one technician involved even though it was only him. Vatthana was very friendly and did not hesitate to take some time to explain things to me about how the electrical systems in my house work and what the underlying root issues were. Overall, it was truly a pleasure working with Vatthana and having him in my house. I could not be more satisfied with the stellar service he provided. I was pleasantly surprised that the total cost of the work was less than I was expecting. This was my first experience using CET, and I will definitely seek their service again solely based on the exceptional service that Vatthana provided me today.

I hired GET to fix two exterior safety lights which were half dead. Didn't fix completely. it seemed to work at the time but the problem persisted until 6 years later.

"This work was done 10/24/2013 ! We replaced 2 customer supplied lighting fixtures. Sounds like they lasted 7 1/2 years. Not bad for Motion Fixtures. We guarantee our labor for life. If we don't do something correctly, we will fix it at no charge, FOREVER. Does not sound like the case here"

All went well. Electrician called when he was about 30 min. away, was very professional, and worked quickly. I thought $135 for half an hour was a bit expensive; unsure if $35 per detectors a bit expensive, but I guess they have to make some profit.

Right off the bat I’ll state that after he arrived, I (a 50 year old woman) had to provide and carry a stepladder from my garage to the upstairs for him to access my attic. At first he said he would need to damage the drywall to connect to an electrical switch. He fumbled around for awhile and then stated that there actually happened to be a junction box at the recessed lighting below that he could use - not sure why it took so long to figure that out. He charged me for an hour and a half of work to connect the already installed attic fan to the already existing junction box - $276 (initial estimate was $200).
