"It was a super great job but he did it well and he did it fast. I would recommend him to people. The price was so good and I thought he did fine. He didn't announce his being here but he just came and did it. I didn't even know when he was going to come. He just came and did it and took off without saying hello, goodbye or anything and I think it would have been good for him to have done so."

"They were responsive, professional, and actually show up when they said! This was a complex restoration, and R&R had to coordinate with the cabinet makers, countertop installers, and other subs during the almost 4-month job. There were a few hiccups of course, as any large job is sure to have, but Rob and his crew were always fast to make things right without any griping. We were very satisfied."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

It is a bad idea to try to walk on a roof with snow on it. In fact, you should stay off your roof all year long, even when it is dry and sunny outside. There are too many things that can go wrong, and one misstep can cause serious injury or even death.

Rather, if you need to get something done on your roof, call in a pro. They have the right experience and know-how to get things done safely on a snowy roof, including snow removal.

If you’re looking at how to remove snow from solar panels, heat from the sun usually melts the snow within a few days. However, snow removal might be necessary for winter solar power production in areas with deep snow during the winter. There are brushes with telescoping handles and gentle heads to brush away snow. It’s best to stay on the ground if possible and avoid using tools that could scratch the surface of the solar panels, like a snow shovel or broom.

Yes, most states require that snow removal companies be insured under workers' compensation. This protects the employees financially if an injury were to happen (and when dealing with ice and snow, it’s possible that injury could occur). In addition, most states require snow removal companies to be covered under general liability, which would help cover the cost of any property damage incurred during the removal process.
