"The guy who came by and performed the inspection and quote was very nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately with their termite service, if termite damage occurs while you have their service, they do not cover the cost to repair damages. The worst part was about a week later I got a call from a woman from their office asking about their quote and if we wanted to move forward with their service. I told her we wouldn’t be because they don’t cover termite damage while under contract with them. She then became a little miffed and told me that no pest control company covers termite damages. She also bragged about them getting all the ex Terminix, Orkin, and Action Pest Control clients because they don’t cover damages, which was a childish point to make. Also, I hate to break it to her but all three of those companies do cover termite damages while you’re under their contract and I have first hand experience with Terminix hiring a general contractor to come out and fix my previous house’s termite damages at no charge. So she is just trying to make other companies look bad. I liked the inspection guy, but I would never do business with this company."

"I found SM Inspection to have the best reasonable rates and were readily available within short notice. I called the first 3-4 top rated Angies List home inspectors. They all could not schedule me in for at least 2 weeks and their labor rates were much higher not including termite/pest inspection.
I called SM Inspection and made an appointment. Pam was able to fit me in her schedule within 3 days! Pam was very professional and courteous. Pam was very knowledgeable with years of experience. Pam clearly explained what she was doing and pointed out some items not operating, major concerns and improvement items.
As soon as Pam arrived she noticed that the house needed to be de-winterized. I did not realize there was another fee for de-winterizing. She gave me 50% off her normal de-winterizing fee. I was already getting a deal with the Angies List special price of $260 home inspection plus free termite/pest inspection.
Pam did an extensive inspection over 3 hours long along with de-winterizing the house. Pam did not find any major issues with the house inspection but she did point out some minor issues along with recommendations.
 
During the home inspection, Pam realized that the water company had not yet turned on the water. Pam would have to come back again to finish the inspection. Of course there is another fee for having the inspector come out but she was very reasonable and was willing to make time as soon as the water company would turn on the water to reach out and call her. She would come as soon as they turned on the water.
I was able to get the water company to come out the next day and I called Pam, she came out that evening and finished the inspection for me. I definitely recommend SM Inspection, reasonable rates, dependable, high quality work and great customer service.
