They came out 4-5 times in 1 week and cost me over $400. They didn't give me any written estimates before they started work. They knew what they were doing but they probably could've done it in a half day.

The only person I interacted with was the person who answered the phone to set the appointment up. They were very nice and friendly and it went pretty well. I gave them the tenant's phone number and after that I didn't hear anything from them. I kind of wished they called me to tell me what the problem was, or what they found, before they did the work. This is because I asked them to do one specific thing and they wound up doing something else. I feel they should have called me first but it wasn't a big deal.

He got hung up , and was about 1 1/2 hours later than he thought he would be arriving.  It was a more difficult job than anticipated, but John did a fantastic job and finally got things draining as they should.  He was very professional, very clean and respectful, and obviously knew his stuff.  Highly recommend!  And the cost was extremely reasonable.  Will definitely be putting Hoosier A-1 in my "Good Guys" file to refer to again!

My bathtub drain would not clear after several attempts using over-the-counter drain cleaners. Mike arrived within the time we had designated. He and his partner worked promptly to clear the drain and performed adequate test to ensure that the water was draining properly. The cost for the service was about what I had expected. They were polite and professional the entire time.

Quote appointment not kept. Did not call. I had to call. After accepted quote, had to reschedule work. Did not call. I had to call them. Broke an outside faucet during install. Not all work completed as quoted.

It took two trips in one week to open the line.
The first appointment they couldn't auger the line all the way.
The second appointment that week they brought the heavy duty auger and found my line goes
to the back of the house and  to the side of the house to the outside sewer line.
The line was opened up and I haven't had water backing up when I do laundry since
then.
The frustrating situation was the kitchen faucet.  I have a portable dishwasher that needs
an attachment at the faucet head.  This was explained at the first appointment to the plumber
before he went to purchase a faucet.
They installed a wonderful faucet although I couldn't get an attachment to fit my dishwasher.
In between the first and second appointment, I went to Lowe's and Menard's but found nothing
that worked.
Eventually I found out that there is no adapter/aerator that would work
on this faucet to use with a portable dishwasher.
After four weeks, several phone calls to Hoosier A-1 and  the purchase of another faucet,
it was resolved and I can use my portable dishwasher again.
The kitchen faucet became a very expensive fix.
Response from Hoosier A-1 Sanitary Sewer Svc
"I am so sorry the job caused so much grief in your household. I knew I should have stayed on top of it but was assured that all was being taken care of. I know there are no excuses for the delay in taking care of your problem. I am hoping that you will keep us in mind and would be willing to give us another chance sometime in the future. I wish you the best and am so happy you can now use your portable dishwasher. Thanks again, Melinda Unverzagt Hoosier A-1 Sewer Service."

Dave didn't mind me hanging around to observe what he was doing (just to see if I could learn anything). I didn't stand over his shoulder for safety's sake, but stood just close enough to see what was going on. He often stopped and explained things in very knowledgeable and simple terms. He was so easy to understand. He did not rush through it and made sure I fully understood things before he went back to his work. It was all about making sure that I, as a customer, knew what was going on with my line and my property. We had an old tile sewage line. He removed quickly. There were lots of roots, but they ripped right through the digging process with both caution and ease. He was careful to keep messes off my neighbors yard as best as he could, for the line is virtually right on the property line. He had the line put in within one day. He came out three days later to water pressure the part of the line he did not replace. Our city accepts responsibility for the line up to a so many feet (varies with every addition). That part had roots in the 6" pipe that virtually blocked the line. I was originally scheduled for a Sunday, but he called to see if he could come out on a Saturday, due to a cancelation caused by a family emergency. I agreed. Of course it did put them behind on their time quite a bit. But they were determined to stay until the job was done, even though they were there quite late. The work was awesome and the price was more than reasonable. The information given through Dave's explanations was more informative than I would had expected from someone on a timetable. The intended source of financing this didn't work. They were very patient with me while I worked that out. Let's just say my neighbor was so impressed with them, that she had them do some work for her too! I received a warranty on both the line and the water pressure work he had done. I believe there is another company in this town that has the A-1 and the Hoosier in their name also, but in reverse order of this company. Just make sure you get these guys. I absolutely will use this company in the future. They had far more reviews than anyone else I saw and all were rated A on their reviews. I am adding one more. I only wish there was a higher rating. I would give it to these guys.

When Dave came out on Monday to look at the project he was unable to give an estimate since there were so many variables.  I told Dave that the Washer & Dryer were to be delivered on Wednesday so the job had to be completed by that time, but otherwise there was no urgency.  He and his assistant worked Monday afternoon and said they would be back Tuesday morning first thing.  On Tuesday mid-morning we spoke by phone and he said he had two emergency calls in Anderson and would over by 1:30 or 2:00 he thought.  In the late afternoon we again talked by phone and he said that the city inspector had not been out to approve the job in Anderson, but he assured me he would get our project done that day.  He and his assistant showed up at about 5:00 and were good to their word; they had to work well into the evening but finished before they left.  Along the way they encountered an unanticipated drain leak which they also repaired/replaced.   Other than the delay, I had absolutely no complaints, and their fee was significantly less than I anticipated.  The work looked very professional and they cleaned up well before leaving.

David did excellent work and kept me informed when he was delayed and rerouted for emergency calls which I agreed to since mine was just a small leak. He gave me a 10% discount on labor due to the delays which was more than I expected.

We purchased a very old income property with several water and sewage hookups.  Hoosier A-1 Sanitation has been very helpful and has become our go to plumbing service.  Since we took possession of the property in May of last year Hoosier A-1 has provided both scheduled and emergent services for our property several times.  Their plumber (Dave) has gone above and beyond to fix our issues each time.  They have also been very upfront with the cost of each project. and none of the work they have done has had to be repaired.  Services they have performed are new water shut off installs, water line break repairs and sewer line clean outs.

Great, the price was the best in town and I will let everybody I know to give them a call for all plumbing needs.
