"This was a great experience from the first interaction to last. The Yellow Crew, Alan, Jacobo, Mauricio ( the workers) were amazing. Their foreman, Tommy and Michael DeMasi, the foundation specialist, were excellent. Everyone was punctual. They kept us informed all along the way. Price was reasonable for scope of work. I would definitely recommend this company!"

"The company's been great with communication and clarity. Today, Michael Mohr of their concrete/masonry division, came out to cut a hole in the brick of the house for the install of a crawl space entry door. He was professional, direct, and swift with his work. He left no mess and the cut job was clean. I'd definitely recommend his/their work."

Customers say: True professional

"Due to the structure of the deck a prefab door would not work for this. They used pressure treated lumber to make covers for both accesses that can be easily removed if needed but are secure to prevent animals getting in now. They replaced two sections of duct that was damaged. I have used Crawl Masters on a few other jobs and have found them to be prompt, professional and reasonably priced. They have always done a excellent job and I recommend them for anything needed for under the house"

"Dreamscape Designers are amazing! We just had our front yard transformed into a beautifully landscaped oasis. They truly exceeded our very high expectations! Tom met with us and listened very carefully to our wishes and drew up an amazing plan. The work was completed on schedule, and we were in constant communication with the Dreamscape team. We had a large project, with old trees and shrubs removed and replaced with palm trees, cherry trees, assorted shrubs, grasses, perennials and annuals. In addition, we had our landscape rocks & mulch refreshed. The landscape crew was very professional and were a pleasure to have working at our home. We are so pleased with the results and highly recommend Dreamscape Designers for all of your landscape needs."

"I asked JES to inspect our foundation to determine if we had a foundation or drywall issue. Ben did a thorough evaluation and told me that we did not have a foundation problem. I appreciate his honesty and would recommend JES."

"Kyle and Casey are extremely competent craftsmen. Project exceeded expectations in all respects and would absolutely hire again. The details, including the portion of structure you can't see when finished, were "over engineered" for durability. Nicest pool deck in Sandbridge beach!"

"I was told that the technician would come between 0800 and 1200. At 0813 I received a call from Atomic to indicate that the technician was enroute. He arrived about a half hour later. He told me the upfront charge for the job----unaffected by actual time required to do it----as $200.00.j He found that the cement that he had in a small bucket was not pliant enough to use, so he called his office to find a good source for replacement. After a couple calls, he left for about 45 minutes to get some new supply of the appropriate cement, this time in a caulking gun cartridge. He applied the cement not only to the requested connection between the water heater flue and the chimney flue, but also to the connection between the furnace flue and the chimney flue. After he announced that the cementing had been done, he lit the pilot light to the water heater. He asked me to adjust the thermostat upstairs so that he could also ensure that the furnace pilot light was functioning correctly. He made sure that the furnace was lit also."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can enlarge windows in a brick house. Your masonry contractor will need to cut away exterior brick to make space for the larger window, and you may also need to consult a structural engineer to make sure the window is properly supported inside the frame of the house.

Granite is the strongest commercially available stone houses are built from. It’s also more commonly available, which means transport costs aren’t as high because a granite quarry isn’t too far from a build site. Limestone and sandstone are popular materials as well, but they aren’t as strong or weather-resistant as granite.

Not all cracks in brick indicate foundation problems. For instance, small hairline cracks can occur as a new construction settles. However, larger cracks are often a sign of a more severe issue. Indicators of a potential foundation problem include long horizontal cracks, "stair-step" cracks, vertical cracks that appear indoors, or any crack that widens at the top. Other signs of structural damage to look for are uneven floors and doors or windows that stick. These issues could be caused by problems with the soil beneath the home or an overgrown tree.

Real stone is exactly what it sounds like: It’s real stone sourced from the earth without additives. It is durable and unique, but it’s difficult to work with because of its weight, challenge in sourcing, and high cost. Stone veneer mimics the look of real stone but is actually engineered with a mixture of Portland cement, natural minerals, and a colorant. While it’s more affordable and easier to work with, it’s less durable and may appear manufactured to the trained eye.

This is largely dependent on the size and hardness of the rock, but a range of tools might work, including hammers, chisels, rock hammers, sledge hammers, and more. You'll need a jackhammer for the very biggest rock-breaking jobs.
