I found Dreamscape on Angi, and Tom Rozier and his crew did a fantastic job transforming my daughter's back yard while her husband was deployed. Working within my budget, Tom figured out how to replace a weedy, worn patio with something polished and beautiful that reminds me of the yellow brick road. Led by Tom's wonderful #2, Larry, Dreamscape provided plantings flanking the "road," in the corners of the yard, and in front--everything looks great. The leader of the crew who put down the hardscaping was a genius. In addition, Tom recommended Wright's Wells and Drilling to remediate the drainage problem that had long made the back yard unusable; Gary Wright worked miracles. Besides being likeable, Tom, Gary, and Larry are all seasoned professionals. They were communicative and helpful and worked within the constraints of weather and other jobs to get my job done before my deployed son-in-law returned. Heartily recommend Dreamscape.

Dreamscape Designers are amazing! We just had our front yard transformed into a beautifully landscaped oasis. They truly exceeded our very high expectations! Tom met with us and listened very carefully to our wishes and drew up an amazing plan. The work was completed on schedule, and we were in constant communication with the Dreamscape team. We had a large project, with old trees and shrubs removed and replaced with palm trees, cherry trees, assorted shrubs, grasses, perennials and annuals. In addition, we had our landscape rocks & mulch refreshed. The landscape crew was very professional and were a pleasure to have working at our home. Tommy, Larry, and the whole team were terrific. They do great work, and get along well with each other. They are also exceptionally friendly and polite . . . we even had neighbors telling us after the fact how nice the guys had been interacting with their toddlers as they walked by. And I found that if I had a question or concern or minor change to make, every one of the guys felt empowered to go ahead with the request. Highly recommend them!

Tom Rozier worked with us to plan and design the beds. He had some excellent ideas. The crew arrived as scheduled, and did a nice job of removing some old shrubs and installing new ones. We had an issue with two of the new plants, and Tom not only replaced them, but had his crew refresh both front beds. The work they performed was excellent. The crew was courteous and easy to talk with. We are very pleased with Dreamscape and highly recommend them.

Worked with them for over a year and was never completed... Does that give you a clue? Was NEVER done properly, no supervision of work crew (when they showed up), put down sod in culvert blocking water flow causing backup in yard which then caused me to spend an additional $5,000 for a pump/drainage system, planted trees/plants that were not to be planted on my property, regraded entire yard improperly by a 3rd party vendor and did nothing to correct it. RUN, DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY/OWNER! FYI.. all pics are AFTER the new sod was installed. Really!

The owner has since fired those employees and has taken over the operations of both. With your project, the owner did come out and try to rectify the problem. Dreamscape Designers contacted us after a garden show in Va Beach. Dan came out, talked about what we liked, didn't like, and gave us a quote shortly after his visit. His crew removed a few bushes in the front of our house, planted new ones and mulched. They were very courteous. A few weeks after the job was complete, we let them know a bush was looking pretty sad. They replaced it without hesitation. Our curb appeal is beautiful now.

The initial and plan review meetings went fine. The designer was pleasant and easy enough to work with. But there were a few things that weren't quite right with the plan (existing beds in wrong places, plant selection issues in shade) and a few minor changes we agreed she would make. But then after that, nothing but crickets. I never received the revisions (we agreed on email) and reached out a couple times with no response.

My husband and I had such a great experience with this company and I would definitely recommend their landscape design services. We wanted something that would look great but also be low maintenance. They really took the time to understand what we were looking for and obviously understand the best plants for our climate. The transformation of our yard has been amazing, it looks beautiful, we have low maintenance plants and year long color pop. I am so pleased!

Dreamscape Designers did a fabulous job on our patio and fire pit. The team worked to provide us with as much information as possible about the job, integrated our choices into the plans, worked to schedule appointments and the start of the job with us, were responsive to our requests, and worked continuously to complete the job. Dreamscape Designers did a great job in laying out the patio and fire pit. Most importantly, the crew ensured proper grading and laid a solid foundation for a patio that will last many years and now gives us great enjoyment. We spend a lot of time now sitting out on our patio. On a cool night this past Friday, we enjoyed sitting out on the patio and relaxing by a nice fire in the company of good friends. I want to apologize for the length of this review…my wife and I don’t usually write negative reviews about companies, but feel like it needed to be done given the amount of money we spent and everything we dealt with. We first contacted the company in April and were excited to have one of the designers, Christina, come out a few weeks later to talk about what we wanted. We didn’t have a dollar amount in mind a the time, we just knew we wanted a lush, English garden style landscape with room for planting seasonal fruits and veggies. The initial meeting went great and she told us she would have a plan for us in a a few weeks. That was the last thing that actually happened on time and when we got the plan the next week we were in love, and decided to splurge and go with everything on the design, close to $30k. We were told work would start at the end of May and be completed within a week. The last week of May we got a call saying they were behind and would start the following week. The following week they put in about 1/4 of the landscaping (on the side of our house) and didn’t even weed properly as weeds were already sprouting up over the next few days. They said they would be back at end of the week to do the hardscape which didn’t happen. It finally got done towards the end of June and took 2 days longer than they said, as they had 1 or 2 guys working on it the entire time. Our pergola and other woodwork was supposed to be done the following week, but the guy never showed up. When we called they told use their guy was ‘sick’ and that they weren’t sure when he would be coming because he had a project to complete at the new outlet malls instead. The next week they came out and finished the landscaping in the back. After it was done we realized the design didn’t cover up under our steps like we spoke about, so we asked if they planned to fix it somehow. They said they could have the wood guy put trellises over it, and tried to charge us an additional $600 which we refused to pay. The pergola was finally completed a week later, but provided no shade which was the purpose to begin with. The trellises weren’t installed at that time and took another week to be installed, but it was not painted. We asked if they planned on painting it and were told ‘we are landscapes and he is a carpenter, we can put you in touch with painters if you’d like.” Seriously? I’m paying you 30k and that’s the service I get? We discovered the carpenter trampled a bunch of plants as well and they wanted us to pay the rest of the money before the plants were replaced, because the ‘install was completed as promised.’ Ha! Multiple gardenias they installed died (even though we told them we trouble with gardenias dying previously) as well a few other plants. It look over a month of texts, emails, calls to finally get them replaced. The day they came to replace them, I accidentally left the back gate locked, so instead of calling me and seeing if I could come by or coming a different day, they just left those plants on the porch. I called to see if they would be coming back and was told it would be an additional $180 charge for them to come back….absurd. One of the plants was also missing (either forgotten or stolen,) and they refused to bring another one. Tags were left on the plants they were able to install, and when I addressed that I was told “it was so we could identify the plants.” Even though in the checklist we signed after install one the blocks was “tags removed from plants.” It’s hard to stress in words how frustrating and disappointing this experience was. When you pay 30,000 for a dream landscape you expect amazing service and professionalism, which was far from met. A project that was supposed to take a week ended up taking almost 3 months to complete and every time we addressed it we were given another excuse, as other projects seemed to be more important than ours. Topped off by the owner calling me “bro” and “dude” repetitively, and making jokes that I’ll owe him a beer when this is all done. Please save yourself from a nightmare experience like we had and go with one of the many other landscaping companies in the area.
