"This was a great experience from the first interaction to last. The Yellow Crew, Alan, Jacobo, Mauricio ( the workers) were amazing. Their foreman, Tommy and Michael DeMasi, the foundation specialist, were excellent. Everyone was punctual. They kept us informed all along the way. Price was reasonable for scope of work. I would definitely recommend this company!"

"The company's been great with communication and clarity. Today, Michael Mohr of their concrete/masonry division, came out to cut a hole in the brick of the house for the install of a crawl space entry door. He was professional, direct, and swift with his work. He left no mess and the cut job was clean. I'd definitely recommend his/their work."

"Crawl Masters showed up the very next day to check out the sloping floor in the kitchen and check the corner foundation where some cracks are in the brick and stated the area around the cracked bricks was fine from a foundation perspective and that we should get a masonry out to work on the bricks. And then gave an estimate to correct the sloping floor in the kitchen(adding 2 piers). He was very honest and felt good going with Crawl Masters. I called and requested for them to come out to add the 2 piers asap if they could and they were out there within 2 days. I had a great experience with them. Thank you!

"The work was done exactly as described in the contract. The workers were timely, efficient and respectful of the property. The work was in the crawl space so they took pictures to show me the work that was done so I didn't have to crawl under the house myself. They did some brick pointing and lentel replacement for us as well. All work was done to our satisfaction and I would hire them for any additional work I need in the future."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

No, you don’t need to soak the brick before cutting it by hand. In fact, cutting a wet brick can make it harder to see your score lines and may cause the chisel to slip. Soaking is sometimes used with power tools to reduce dust, but for hand-cutting, it’s best to work with dry bricks for better control and visibility.

Initially, brick staining is not cheaper than painting. However, while it has a higher up-front cost, it may be more cost-effective in the long run. Brick stain can last for 20 years or longer, compared to paint, which usually starts to peel away in three to five years.

You can use a regular drill to make pilot holes for gutter brackets in the wooden fascia board around the top of your house, but it’s not the best tool for brick. Instead, you’ll need a heavy-duty power tool like a hammer drill with a carbide tip bit.

Masonry uses units like bricks, cement blocks, and stone with mortar between them. Mortar is generally made of sand and a type of cement. Examples of masonry include the brick or stone on a house, chimney, or freestanding wall. Concrete is a mixture of water, sand, stone aggregate, and other materials, and is poured into forms or moldings. Types of concrete applications include driveways, garage and basement floors, and poured concrete walls in basements and crawl spaces.

Europe is a continent made of many individual countries with a history of city life. In these cities, dirt roads were unsanitary and often shifted. The Ancient Romans started laying cobblestone streets in the 3rd century, which became an iconic feature of European cities. The durable and practical paving material proved to be extremely weather-resistant.
