"This was a great experience from the first interaction to last. The Yellow Crew, Alan, Jacobo, Mauricio ( the workers) were amazing. Their foreman, Tommy and Michael DeMasi, the foundation specialist, were excellent. Everyone was punctual. They kept us informed all along the way. Price was reasonable for scope of work. I would definitely recommend this company!"

"Very quick and efficient application of foam - done in one morning. However, not informed that in sealing the crawlspace walls such application of foam would negate our termite control bond as the walls can no longer be inspected for termite tunnels. As such, we had to go with a more expensive and invasive termite contract to ensure that our protection continued."
Unsealed porous foundation walls. Efflorescence has grown along the outside walls.
Plastic is laid out to protect the freshly pained walls and floor.
Open vents in the foundation walls allow outside air and moisture to infiltrate the crawl space, increasing the relative humidity and allowing mold spores to thrive inside.
Spray foam application in progress on warehouse walls.
The dirt floor is exposed, which will allow the moisture from the earth to rise uncontested into the crawl space, adding to the increase in relative humidity.

"I was concerned about moisture in my basement and decided to utilized Managed Service Group for a second opinion. Scott, the contractor, was upfront, honest, and told me what the problem was. He did not come out with 10 plus men to rip out my basement like JES Foundation Company wanted to do. Thank you Scott for saving me thousands of dollars. I will definitely use and recommend this company to others."

After we accepted the proposal, they showed up next week and completed the work. Everything we needed was done very well. Highly recommended."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, there are many disadvantages to stone houses. They are slow to build and the materials are pricey, both of which balloon the total cost. Stone walls require a more robust foundation, which costs more to install. Running plumbing, electrical, and HVAC through a stone house is much more difficult too, so homeowners need to seriously consider if the aesthetic benefit is worth the cost of building with stone. One of the questions to ask a masonry contractor is if a similar aesthetic can be achieved with another material.

Yes, brick houses are better insulated, because the bricks slow down the passage of air from the outside to the inside and vice-versa. This helps to stabilize the internal temperature of the home. When combined with proper residential insulation, brick houses are more efficient and better insulated than other types.

Cutting stone comes with a number of safety hazards. First and foremost, if you’re not comfortable with the equipment required to cut stone, including blades and grinders, you could easily injure yourself. The heavy machinery also poses a risk to your ears if you don’t wear proper ear protection; similarly, you need to wear eye protection to keep debris from irritating your eyes.

However, the biggest risk from cutting stone comes from the stone dust. When breathed in, stone dust can be a huge hazard to your lungs. Always wear a face mask when cutting stone to prevent inhaling stone dust, and thoroughly clean the work area when you are finished.

To avoid injury, we recommend hiring a stone-cutting professional, rather than attempting this job yourself.

Professionally done brick repointing can last 20 to 30 years, sometimes longer. However, the exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the mortar, the skill of the mason, and exposure to weather. If you live in an area with harsh weather or frequent freeze-thaw cycles, you may need to repoint more often. Repointing that is done as a DIY project may only last 10 to 15 years. It's time to repoint when you notice signs of mortar failure, such as crumbling or missing mortar, holes, or vines growing between the bricks. Regular inspections can help you catch these issues early.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recommends placing a mailbox 6 inches to 8 inches back from the curb. If your lot is unusual, speak with town authorities or the local post office to determine the correct placement.
