"This was a great experience from the first interaction to last. The Yellow Crew, Alan, Jacobo, Mauricio ( the workers) were amazing. Their foreman, Tommy and Michael DeMasi, the foundation specialist, were excellent. Everyone was punctual. They kept us informed all along the way. Price was reasonable for scope of work. I would definitely recommend this company!"

"The points on my 33 year old chimney needed masonry reset. On the day of the project, Lenwood and Gary showed up on time. The service was phenomenal with pictures before/after the repair sent to me. The project was completed after a day and a half, and cleanup was very well done. Lenny advised me to please call back if there were any issues. This company is top notch and highly recommended!"

"I had my crawl space encapsulated one year ago and was very impressed with the work done. Today Service tech Jonn came out for crawl space maintenance. First, VA Foundation Solution explained what the crawl space maintenance would consist of when my appointment was made. On the day of my appointment John called to notify me he was on his way and arrived on time. At the completion of his work not only did he give me a written statement of what he completed but took the time to explain what was done to make sure he answered any questions I might have has."

Customers say: True professional

"Crawl Masters provided a quality blown in fiberglass attic insulation, raising it over the 39 R value. I recently purchased the 30 year old 2000 sf ranch home, and it had minimal attic insulation, barely covering any of the ceiling joists. Owner Dave was honest, punctual and professional. Dave was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Dave provided photos afterward of the installation. The price was reasonable. I was planning on doing it myself but left it in Crawl Masters hands. I am glad I did and would definitely recommend them to family and friends. The temperature in the home now stays constant without the HVAC continually kicking on and off."

"The process went very smoothly.  There were several teams that worked on my project.  The initial workers removed all of the old insulation and trash left under the house during construction, and cleaned the joists.  Later a perimeter drain system was installed, and the final job was to insulate the foundation perimeter and install the vapor barrier.

All the work was done in a professional manner and the workers were all very courteous.  They were on time and on budget."
Unsealed porous foundation walls. Efflorescence has grown along the outside walls.
Plastic is laid out to protect the freshly pained walls and floor.
Open vents in the foundation walls allow outside air and moisture to infiltrate the crawl space, increasing the relative humidity and allowing mold spores to thrive inside.
Spray foam application in progress on warehouse walls.
The dirt floor is exposed, which will allow the moisture from the earth to rise uncontested into the crawl space, adding to the increase in relative humidity.

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Discoloration ondifferent types of brick can range from harmless to red flag. For example, efflorescence that is caused by a buildup of water-soluble white salt is considered harmless. However, green or greenish-yellow stains are caused by salts that are harmful to brick. Staining can also be caused by rust, corrosion, lime run, soot, algae, or moss.

Most of the time, you don’t need to seal brickwork and can save that money for another area of home improvement. But if your brick is cracking or you live in an area with a lot of excess moisture (either in terms of rain or freezes), sealing can extend the lifetime of your home. But, make sure you use a breathable sealant, like siloxane, to allow the moisture to evaporate on its own.

Yes, professionals have the skills to restore historical or intricate masonry by respecting traditional techniques and materials. They address damage meticulously, preserving the original design while ensuring stability and longevity.

It’s called cobblestone because it’s made of stones that are “cobbed” together. A cob is a term that refers to rounded lumps. Originally, cobblestone streets were made from pebbles and stones gathered from riverbeds that had been rounded over time by the passage of water. The term has nothing to do with a cobbler, which is the term for someone who makes and fixes shoes.

Yes, you can cut patio stones with a circular saw. Similar to using an electric grinder, you will need to use a diamond blade as this is the most effective blade for cutting a material like stone. The stone must be wet when using a circular saw to ensure the cut is smooth.
