"Aaron was professional and knowledable. He identified why some masonry cement was cracking between patio stone, and repaired quickly repaired it. He was very conscientious about clean up, to include making sure the left over masonry cement was washed down so that it wouldn't kill our grass.

Customers say: True professional

"Chris from Davalos Masonry came to our home and reviewed the repairs needed to an brick and stone arch and pilar in my driveway. The price for the tear down and rebuild was fair and the work was done as I requested. This a family owned business and they treat you like family while performing the work. I'm so happy I choose Davalos to repair my home. If you need any type of brick, stone or concrete work done at your home or business. This is the company you should do business with."

"I have not used the company, YET. I plan to though! Chris, the inspector who checked out my foundation was a peach. He arrived on time, even though I, myself was late! He was polite, friendly and professional. He squeezed himself into my tiny crawlspace and took amazing and accurate photos of the foundation. He showed me the pics and told me exactly what was going on, how to repair it in detail and what to expect. I had Cornerstone come out several weeks before I called Pinnacle and they gave me a totally different story that would have cost me a LOT more money! I will definitely be calling Pinnacle later this year to take care of my foundation issue."

Customers say: Quick response

"Rudy was prompt and quick to respond to my initial request. He quickly assessed the work to be done and quoted a price. The day the work was to be performed he showed up on time and completed the job as promised. The work was very well done. The new tree wells match the stone work of the previous ones. They look much better too. He and his team also patched the divider walls around the flower bed and replaced a missing brick. Very pleased with the job and would definitely call him for future masonry work."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

In Plano, minor masonry repairs—like tuckpointing or fixing small cracks—usually take one to three days. Medium projects, such as building a new patio or repairing a chimney, often require up to two weeks. Larger undertakings, like full exterior stonework or major retaining wall construction, may take several weeks. Weather conditions and contractor schedules in TX can influence the overall timeline.

Helpful?

When comparing masonry contractor quotes in Plano, be wary of unusually low bids, vague project details, or requests for large upfront payments. Reliable professionals will address local clay soil conditions and recommend materials suited for TX weather. Avoid contractors who lack a written contract, ignore necessary permits, or can’t provide local references. Transparency and local experience are key indicators of trustworthy masonry work.

Helpful?

Completing masonry work in Plano can significantly enhance your home’s value and curb appeal. Brick exteriors and custom stonework are especially desirable in Plano neighborhoods, often making homes stand out to buyers. Upgrading outdoor living spaces—such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls—can also attract more interest. Well-executed masonry repair and maintenance show buyers your property is cared for, improving resale prospects.

Helpful?

In Plano, exterior brickwork and stone veneer often require masonry repair due to shifting clay soil and weather extremes. Chimneys, steps, and retaining walls are also prone to wear, especially after heavy rain or drought. Outdoor living features like fire pits and patios may develop cracks or loose stones over time. Regularly inspecting these areas helps you address issues before they worsen.

Helpful?

In Plano, schedule masonry work if you spot stair-step cracks in brickwork, crumbling mortar, or moisture stains on interior walls. Leaning retaining walls or loose stones in patios are also warning signs. Annual inspections, especially after severe weather, help catch problems early. Proactive masonry repair and sealing every few years can prevent larger issues and protect your home’s structure.
