"We met with Carl from Triangle Classic Homes and from the estimate to the completed project the workmanship, communication, timeliness, and commitment to quality was consistently outstanding. The subcontractors that Triangle Classic Homes coordinates/schedules to complete each phase of the project were polite, hardworking, detailed-oriented and committed to quality workmanship. The garage was finished on schedule and far exceeded our highest expectations and looks like it was built when the house was originally constructed. We highly recommend Triangle Classic Homes, and will look no further the next time we have a home improvement project."

"Another great job by Anthony!  We have been living with extremely uneven heating & cooling in a family room addition for over 20 years. When the fan unit on the downstairs heat pump finally failed, we agreed a replacement unit was long overdue. Anthony installed a temporary replacement fan to keep us going while we decided on the replacement.
I knew it was time to start over, and Anthony was the only one I would trust to engineer the solution to our vexing problem.  He knows the latest technology (he teaches seminars for HVAC technicians and is a certified geothermal installer).  He investigated geothermal at my request, but it did not make sense in my location.
Anthony was able to identify the cause of our problem (inadequate air exchange to the family room, undersized ducts, thermostat controls temperature in another area.  He provided three recommendations (good, better, best).  Anthony provided an objective explanation of the reasoning for each recommendation, and compared the likely results we could expect with each option.  There was no pressure to make a specific selection, the advantage of dealing with a master technician instead of a salesman.
We chose the 'best' option - did not want to live with uneven temperature for another 20 years!  This included a dual stage heat pump (natural gas unavailable), reengineered duct work, and digital thermostat with a remote sensor also allowed average of the temperature in two area so both would be comfortable.
Installation was outstanding, as it was when he replaced our upstairs unit in 2010.  The family room is comfortable for the first time ever!  Later discovered he included dampers to all the main ducts so he could 'tweak' the output as required  Great job, we were very satisfied.

"Fantastic experience - recommend them wholeheartedly. My husband and I are both realtors/appraisers and have had lots of experience with HVAC contractors. This is the best experience ever. They came when they said they would, completed within the promised time frame, did a very professional installation, cleaned up every day and there were no surprises at the end. Ten Stars!"

"The install was done, amazingly, by one man. He arrived on time, installed the unit, answered my questions and left.

However, the unit failed the city's mechanical inspection, but the failure that was cited was over something that wasn't a big deal. Cape Fear scheduled an electrical checkup with a contractor they use (all was A-OK) but have never scheduled the electrical inspection by the City. Thus the lower grades on Quality and Responsiveness. Calls to the company to arrange inspections were a bit frustrating.

The company is expanding from Fayetteville into Raleigh and apparently has a few kinks to iron out.

I suspect that they will do well.

Update 11/21/15
I received a call from Cape Fear thanking me for pointing out the communication problems in scheduling the City inspections. The mechanical inspection had been done by the city, but not the electrical. Cape Fear's subcontractor had OKed the electrical, but had not scheduled the electrical inspection by the city. The next call that I received was from the subcontractor wanting to check the electrical. I responded that they (the electrical subcontractor) had already checked the installation and that the electrical inspection needed to be scheduled with the city. So far ..........No city electrical inspection has been scheduled.

"Chad was very professional, courteous, thorough and quick. He came to the house, I showed him the new disposal and he replaced it. It took him just over an hour. He did even mind our 2 dogs.

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Yes, most designers tailor plans to fit your budget. Discuss financial constraints during initial consultations.

Most towns and cities have regulations regarding sign dimensions for businesses. If you're opening a new business, contact the town or city's local zoning board to see the specifications you need to follow when getting your sign created. There may also be rules regarding how high your sign can sit. Be sure to learn about specifications before having your sign made. Sign companies generally won't offer refunds once custom signs have been fabricated.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

The best way to start designing a house is to know what you want before designing. Making a list of your biggest priorities in a home will help. Designing a house without an idea of what you need or want in a home will lead to many trials and errors that could make it harder to figure out what you need in your design.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.
