In the following 11 months, he replaced it with gas burning fireplaces in the living room and adjoining Master Bedroom (a very difficult thing to do in the space we had), expanded the rear hall, closed several exterior windows, installed 4 exterior windows and sliding doors, re-floored, re-sided and painted most of the common areas, rebuilt and upgraded the stairway to the lower level and put in a fantastic new kitchen. The project cost six figures and encountered many setbacks as removal of walls and floors exposed poor electrical work and many other preexisting deficiencies. However, in each case, Rick, Josh and his associates developed creative solutions and, as we went along, they helped us refine our vision of what we wanted so that the finished product far exceeded our initial expectations. With his fine carpentry expertise, Rick provided a new beamed ceiling and log mantle and wood work around the new living room fireplace which is itself the artistic focal point of the room. He also transformed an eye-sore half wall into a beautiful built-in cabinet which is integral to the new dining area. Rick and Josh work quietly and efficiently and are upfront about timelines and their availability. In fact, when the demands of a difficult new client caused them to fall behind the timeline they set, they worked on weekends to get current. I thought they did a real good job. It does not smell or anything. If it was tall enough it looks like a room you could be in to live in, but it is our crawl space. They are really good. We get an annual checkup and their services are kind of expensive, but my husband checks every time it rains and now the water does not sit underneath the house or mess up our foundation. We got a military discount and they check the humidifier to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to do for about $99.
