"Our main project work was performed in April and May 2017 with some subsequent work after we completed a new master bath in January 2018. The drywall repair phase in 2017 encountered unforeseen issues due to improper work done by a contractor used by the previous owners. While the cost of the project increased accordingly, Doug Fox (owner of Wolverine Custom Painting) was particularly good with clear communication and transparency as we expanded the project scope. The Wolverine craftsmen that performed the cabinetry, drywall and structural/fastener solutions for high ceiling drywall features were extremely thorough and skilled. The painting crew were excellent and took great pride in their work. Given the unusual nature of this home (in a Frank Lloyd Wright tradition) we are extremely pleased with the end result that highlights the barrel ceilings and interior features of this beautiful home. Wolverine Custom Painting was a 'one-stop shop' for us that exceeded all our expectations."

"This was our 2nd project with Craig after having our basement refinished. Our new crown moldings have lightening above that reflects onto the ceiling. It makes the rooms look more elegant. The kitchen had ugly multi colored back splash we inherited when we purchased the house. Now, the marble back splash reflects the quality of our home in general. All craftmenship work was done at a fair price and until we were fully satisfied.Craig's workers are the best from professionalism,skill to timeliness from start to finish. We are now finalizing plans on a screened porch with a stamped concrete floor that will blend in with the home and look like it's always been there. "We are very pleased with how our bathroom turned out. We enlarged the master bath into an adjacent bedroom. Now we have a cabinet with drawers, the same size shower as before, and a partially re-arranged floor plan. Gary scheduled the other contractors needed to complete the job: plumbing, electrical, tile, granite work, and paint. The job took longer and cost more than originally planned (these things generally do). We had the work done 2 years ago and are still very pleased with the work."

"I submitted my project through Angie's List on a Thursday and requested quotes from CSR and two other providers. Ron was the first to respond, about about a half hour later. Although he offered to come out fairly immediately, the earliest my schedule would allow was the following Thursday so that was what we scheduled for his visit. He showed up promptly at the scheduled time with Dan. They evaluated the impacted area in the hall, as well as the attic since the mold had grown primarily along the perimeter of attic access door. They pointed out signs of poor ventilation in the attic, as well as evidence of weakened structure in the roof panels. To prevent recurrence of the mold, they recommended that these items be addressed. In terms of the immediate issue of the existing mold on the ceiling, they determined that the mold on the ceiling had not damaged the drywall itself so a professional cleaning and sealing would remove the mold. Re-painting the area (as well as the remaining hallway and trim, etc) was also recommended. I was comfortable with their recommendations, especially since I had been expecting that more extensive measures (e.g., drywall removal and repair) would be involved. I was relieved that the drywall had not been damaged by the mold. We scheduled the work to occur the following morning. Ron, his son (Anthony), and Dan showed up promptly as scheduled on Friday and began prepping the areas (taping the area for painting, setting up protective plastic, setting up ventilation fans). I was able to remain home, tucked away in my den, while they worked. The job was completed in about four hours, and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I was completely comfortable at all stages of my encounters with them. The work was done well and with minimal inconvenience to me. I also got a good sense that they wanted to do what needed to be done without inflating the project with unnecessary recommendations. In further testament to their integrity, Dan called me today as he noticed that the check I had written was for too much. He came back today to issue me the refund personally. I'm attaching "before and after" photos to illustrate what a fantastic job they did on making my hallway presentable again!"

"It went very well. Mike is incredible!!! I had forgotten it was possible to have a really good experience with a contractor. When I first contacted him through Angies List he contacted me promptly, we met, discussed what I wanted (I provided him with a picture), he gave me a quote and we scheduled the work. Several weeks before the job he called to confirm our schedule and we texted the day before to confirm what time he would arrive. He was prompt and very professional. During the period I was waiting for the job to start, I changed my mind about what I wanted. The day we began I gave him another picture of a surround and we discussed What I liked about it and what I was trying to achieve. Then he began his creative process by cutting pieces of wood , beveling, etc. displaying them on the surround and showing me what was possible. Every step in the process was discussed and executed with my input. In the end he created something better than the picture or anything I had come up with. He really is an artist, very skillful, very smart and very, very efficient. The entire project took just a little more than 4 hours. I now have a new, beautiful custom surround for my fireplace and am very happy. Worth every penny spent on the project and a real pleasure to work with Mike. He’s a personable, quality, very skillful contractor, and I feel lucky to have found him. Will use him again."
