The jobs went exceedingly well, with teams led by Ed and Steve performing the work expertly and efficiently. Each team member was professional, conscientious and exceptionally skilled. The staircase work by Ed was phenomenally accomplished and it accentuates the ambiance of the first floor living room amazingly. The staircase trim is spectacular. Owner, Jim Wagner, is remarkable in his follow-up; as a resource to the team on best techniques; and, his accessibility to clients. (Even the admin team-for measuring and job follow-up was first class.) My experience with Wagner's Carpentry & Construction, LLC, has been top-quality, from beginning to end. Ana van de Velde

WARNING!!! I have no choice but to warn other people about LL Flooring (Lumber Liquidators). While the materials are nice, the installation was completely botched. My 100 year warranty, hard oak floors are coming apart at the seams 6 months into the job, because they were not installed correctly. I was charged a PREMIUM for this installation, but the floors were incorrectly installed by people who are either incompetent, lazy, or both. Now I am the one who has to deal with the mess. The main problem is that the flooring is not attached to the subfloor (LAZY work!!!), & it was installed as a floating floor (this is an oldschool wood flooring that needs to be nailed to the subfloor). The flooring is coming apart & moves around with every step! I can push some of the planks in & out of position with my fingertips. Everything is crooked- nothing is straight. I've had LL out to do repairs THREE TIMES already, & in the process they've damaged my baseboards. After seeing other people with the same problems, it's probably best to stay away from LL & choose another option. Their installation is a complete joke. They are not hiring skilled installers to do their work, but will happily charge you a fortune for installation & will give you the run around when you have a problem. My advice: avoid LL Flooring at all costs & save yourself a huge headache.

TERRIBLE! Wagner was hired by Lumber Liquidators to remove and replace floors in my home. They performed additional work without first informing me or providing a quote, then walked off the job until I paid. When the work was "completed" they left my home dirty, dents in the walls, buried my water line (to refrigerator), etc. I would NEVER HIRE OR RECOMMEND Wagner to anyone!

My experience went great! I love my new floor. I couldn't be happier. They look so good, it was done in a timely and professional manner. The price was comparable to other company's that quoted the job. I was kept up to date on all aspects of the job. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future.

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY** Jim from Wagner's construction was the contractor/installer for flooring installation purchased from Lumber Liquidators. Floors were laid vertically instead of horizontal. Thresholds that don't need to be present are loose and look cheap. I have a floating floor, but they planned on breaking up the floor at the hallways and bedrooms, so it looks like you finished one room at a time as money permitted. I complained and was ignored. This company has to complete warranty work, unfortunately. So I am stuck with this company. What grinds my gears was how they placed a new air conditioner on top of a spot in the floor that had "bubbled" instead of making it right. I caught it from the first installer team who arrived and the second installer team added more padding under the floor when I moved the air conditioner box for final inspection and addressed it. Sneaky... I would not recommend this company to anyone. Contractors removed front door to trim the bottom and dropped it, gauged it and scratched it. All I received was a "Sorry..."

I had posted my honest review of this company and then removed it because I believed that Jim would make things right after our installation. The guys he sent to install our expensive flooring were not professional. They installed boards with milling issues that left gaps where a quarter wouldn't stand up. They installed the new baseboards that corners and seams did not match up. They dented and scratched our new flooring and walked all over our new floor tracking large amounts of water. When they came back to "make things right" they didn't replace any of the wood that was incorrectly installed. Instead they filled in all the gaps with wood putty and left us with wood that is now splitting and coming up. This company has been a major headache and they pretend to care, but the truth is they don't care. I didn't pay $13,000 for split boards and wood putty. I do not recommend this company to install hardwood flooring. We are so frustrated with this company that we decided to have a professional come out and fix the installation problems. It is a shame that we have to pay again to have it done right when we already paid to have it done right the first time.

Jim was hired via Lumber Liquidators.  He hired sub-contractors to do the work and do as they please.  No one contacted me before the job to confirm arrival.  No one identified what I was to do ahead of time.  
His employee sent me to the store for her, because he only had a $100 dollar bill and didn't want to break it.  When I explained to Jim all the things the employee did (that was not ethical) Jim called him an a******.  
The company promised to complete the job on time and stayed 'til well past 9pm on the second day, but did not complete the job.
The work is shotty at best.  I created a website to display pictures and share my experience with others.  I hope no one has to experience what I've had to.  Jim was well aware of my happiness and clearly he saw the work, but chose to do nothing to make it right.

Very well.

He was recommended to me from my son for whom he had done a major construction. I did not give him much notice for when I needed to have the work done. He accommodated my schedule as best he could understanding that he had ongoing projects and it was also during the holidays. I think his timing was more than fair, his work was excellent, and his price was more than fair as well. He cleaned up nicely after the project. All told I think he earned my high rating.

They did a very good job on the installation. Jim Wagner, the owner was very professional and thorough in his work. He did everything he promised to do and more, in completing the job in a timely manner. He honored his quote and made sure i was satisfied with the job before asking for payment. His careful work and attention to detail minimized the need for extensive cleanup after he completed this indoor project. Nothing was damaged during the job despite the need for Jim and his partner to work around considerable furniture including a baby grand piano. I highly recommend him.
