"This is our fourth time using Diaz for our home renovations. He refinished and stained floors and painted several rooms. He also rebuilt an upstairs deck. In addition, he took care of about 10 other little things that needed fixing. As always, Diaz was the best contractor we’ve ever encountered. He came right out for a free estimate. He gave us constructive advice on the proposed work. His crew got started right away - they were reliable, on time, courteous, and cleaned up impeccably each day. Diaz stuck to his estimate. In addition to all these positive traits, one of the best things is that Diaz and his team can literally take care of anything. You will not have to rely on a subcontractor or having to call somebody else - he does painting, flooring, kitchens, doors/windows, drywall work, tiling, bathrooms, etc. He even has his own tree guy and electrician for when those things come up. He doesn’t just do everything, but everything is done to perfection. Highly recommended!"

But we went through Angi this time and the pro we chose, Omar’s General Contracting, was definitely a hit. Omar was professional and communicative. His crew was great. "I have hired General Construction Millworks (also known as General Remodeling Group) twice now, both for renovations to my basement. Each renovation involved several components, including planning/remodeling, obtaining local permits, demolition, wall framing, drywall repair, electrical work, plumbing, installing flooring, painting, and more. The first job I hired them for was 4 years ago...they completely remodeled the family room side of my basement, completely removing some stairs and replacing them with new ones, along with a complete renovation of that room and attached areas. Then recently, this year in 2019, I hired them to renovate the other side of my basement, which is the laundry room, storage, and 1/2 bath side, in which they installed cabinetry, flooring, moved some plumbing, installed a sump pump with battery back up, and more. I have worked with several contractors, specialists, and handyman services, and my experience with this company has by far been the best. I find them to have competitive and fair pricing, they are honest and transparent about the work they do, and they follow all local codes and best practices. They also involve the homeowner in all issues and decisions. Like any relationship, the client still has to be clear about their expectations and follow up on their concerns along the way - and this company is very good about working with their clients. I found their customer service to be top notch, especially the head contractor I worked with, I had his cell number the whole time and he was very responsive to calls and texts. He made sure our project met the expectations we outlined in our contracts/agreements. Their work ethic is great, their pricing is competitive and fair, their quality of workmanship top-notch, and their customer service is outstanding. I can not recommend them enough."

"While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."

"After consulting with several companies, I decided to hire ESM Construction LLC for the remodeling of my one-bedroom condo. Their pricing was competitive, and Edgar displayed a wealth of knowledge. He was also exceptionally responsive, addressing all my questions promptly. The crew arrived on schedule, and they were both friendly and professional. They completely transformed the condo, installing brand new flooring, ceilings, paint, a bathroom, kitchen, and appliances.
