Bob Peters Painting

The repaired and painted surfaces look pretty good. Estimated for two weeks, the job took seven, partly excusable due to a covid surge. The crew neglected to protect a living room floor that had been in good condition, necessitating laborious cleaning for which the company compensated us about 30% of fair cost. Mr Peters told us that we were getting "carried away" and that no one in his experience had complained of similar floor damage. The crew left the house unlocked overnight repeatedly despite our complaints. The crew lost our key, for which Mr Peters agreed to reimburse us, but he did not believe us that the key fit seven locks and offered to pay for just two. The carpentry work included trim and access panels. The carpenter installed one of the access panels in the wrong location. The company might have fixed the mistake, but we asked them to leave it for reasons unrelated to the work. The job ran over budget, we were told, and Mr Peters offered to honor the high "worst case" end of the estimated range. We negotiated in good faith about the damages but were met with skepticism and gaslighting.

Did exterior painting and repair on our home. Our house hadn't been professionally painted for quite a long time and there was a fair amount of minor repair work to fix trim and wood shingles. Bob's crew did a great job during a very hot stretch of summer weather. They managed the heat really well, working around the worst of it and staying on time. They were patient with me when I changed my mind about colors while they were trying to get started. The finished job looks great! I had gotten several estimates and the price was fair and reasonable. Bob was easy to communicate with and very responsive. It was a great experience all around and I highly recommend this company.

Quality: Very good work, painted by brush with a very good team. Communication: Solid. Got back to me reasonably quickly, and then we were put on the schedule a few months out. Estimated start time pretty close to actual (within a week or so). Not unusual for in demand providers. Intangibles: Good crew, polite, clean. I like that they had a "detail" person, who came in and looked for areas for improvement. Bob was professional and businesslike. As I always say, you don't hire a surgeon for their bed side manner...:-). He was polite, but the ultimate goal was to get the job done in a quality manner. Also, I like the fact that our garage (different color, different wood) didn't seem to need painting, and he agreed. Bob wasn't just looking to maximize the price. Woodworking team was also good (windows needed some repair). Summary: Would use again, and I'm picky.

Great experience with Bob and his team. Bob showed up quickly for an estimate and was competitively priced. His crew was friendly, showed up reliably each day and communicated their plans to me when asked. They worked hard, even in the really hot, humid weather we were having. We're very happy with the final result.

Over the last few months, I've worked on a couple of painting projects with Bob and his professional crew. First and foremost, Bob is a great guy that cares about his craft and his customers. He goal is to do the job right so the end product lasts for years. I truly appreciate this as my home from 1920 definitely needed that type of TLC. His pricing is fair especially when you consider the type of painters in his crew. They were all professional, courteous, and had no issues with getting feedback from me around what my vision was with each project. Everyday they left my house clean and kept their items organized and out of the way. My experience with Bob reaffirmed that you get what you paid for. You can go with the college painters and have the job done halfhearted and sloppy or invest in true professionals and get the job done right the first time. I would use Bob again in the future and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a topnotch painting crew.

His crew did an excellent job. They arrived promptly each morning and left the space very organized in the evening. They were easy to have in our home--quiet, friendly, and professional. We have unpainted wood trim around doors and windows and they cut around them very cleanly. The repairs and painting look terrific and beautiful. The work took about a week. We plan to have them back to paint some additional rooms next winter. Bob's communication with us and with his crew was excellent. I would definitely recommend Bob and his crew.

Bob was incredibly patient and thoughtful on the color choices. His crew did a wonderful job in prepping the house and making the necessary repairs prior to painting. Everything came out beautifully. Would definitely hire Bob and his guys again!

Bob contacted me promptly to schedule and discuss job. His painters, Ralf and Bob were very professional and courteous. Further, the job went over the original one day due to the size of what we needed to have done. Bob offered to continue the job to completion at the same rate, which was Great customer service!    They did a meticulous job of painting the most tedious part of the whole house. It looks fantastic!. I would definitely recommend them!

Bob and his crew did an excellent job. First of all, Bob communicated with me about the estimate, schedule and progress very well. I was informed if there is any change due to the weather. Bob worked with us to choose the right stain, paint and color.
I appreciate that they really care how the painting is turned out and would suggest and do extra coat if necessary. Once he found the garage door paint looked lighter than we had expected, he suggested to change to the darker paint. For the bulkhead that he had already done, he repainted to match the garage door. It is a pleasure to work with Bob and his crew! Definitely will use them again.

Would highly recommend and would definitely hire them again. They arrived right on time, did an excellent job and were a pleasure to work with. I have a high cathedral ceiling in the room that needed painting and the ceiling above the fan was very dirty from dust the fan pulls up. I asked them if they could vacuum the ceiling while they had the scaffolding set up and they gladly said they would and did an outstanding job. They did a great job cleaning up and left behind no mess. Very very pleased.

The siding of our building was old, dried out and faded.  Bob and his crew did a terrific job washing, scraping and painting the building.  I was really impressed with how quickly the work was done and how very neat they were with everything.  The crew was professional and courteous.  Bob has a good sense of color and was very helpful with assisting us with our choice too.  I would definitely recommend him  for any painting project!

Last year, we hired Bob Peters to paint the exterior of our home, which takes a beating on the south side from the sun.  We had not had it painted for a long time and it looked it!  Bob came to the house and was very pleasant and professional as he asked specifics of what we wanted done.  The house is two stories in the front and three stories in the back so this was never going to be a do-it-yourself job.  Bob asked about previous painters and what type of stain had been applied.  He suggested an oil solid stain instead of the latex that had been used in the past and had not held up well.  Bob sent me a quote and contract quickly and fit us into his busy schedule.
 His crew was professional and polite and you could tell they liked each other.  They spent quality time removing some of the old paint and preparing the trim.  The end results were terrific. As they applied the stain, you could almost hear it being absorbed by the dry siding.  When the work was complete, they made sure all the gutters were reinstalled and except for the look of the house, you would have never knew they had been there.
Because I could tell that another coat would be needed we asked to be put on Bob's list for the next year.  Bob gave us a quote, kept in contact and a great looking job looks even better with the second coat.  To top things off, Bob called me when the job was over and said they had taken less time than he estimated and reduced my bill!  Good experience and will always call Bob when we consider any interior painting or continue to keep the outside protected.

The work was done quickly and very efficiently by the individual who worked here.  Clean-up was thorough.  I found them easy to work with and co-operative and responsive to my concerns and questions.
