"I recently hired C&Painting to paint several rooms in my home and my deck so that I could freshen the house up to get it ready for sale. Jose quickly set up a time to come over and assess the work and provide an estimate for the cost of painting. Once we agreed on the scope of work and signed the estimate, he promptly scheduled the work and then he and his painting team arrived to do the work exactly on schedule. His team worked quickly, cleanly and very professionally in completing their work over a four-day period. They were very conscientious about protecting my carpets and furniture from paint drops and were great at cleaning up after themselves. They completed all painting as planned and even did some extra work free of charge just because they thought it would look better. Jose and his team clearly take pride in their work and I would definitely hire them again in future."

"Phenomenal work! I've used Rodas Services three times already and LOVE them. He power washed my deck twice now and it looked brand new each time--that's never happened with other power washers. I also hired him to power wash my siding and I actually saw him up on my roof power washing the brick on my fire place exhaust--amazing. He's also done painting for me and it was done with great attention to detail. The prices are SO reasonable and the quality of work is in a league of its own. I HIGHLY recommend."

Customers say: True professional

"The finished job (a whole house repaint) is great and the cost was incredibly reasonable. Ali and his crew took care to be neat and diligent with a final product that was very well done. They even repaired drywall holes, rehung a ceiling fan, and fixed a window sill at no charge."

"Edward and his team repaired, power washed and stained our deck, stained our fence, sealed nail holes in our siding and touched up the paint on the siding. The quote was very reasonable and the work was completely quickly. Edward also took the time to answer all of my questions via email or text and performed touch-ups. I would hire this company again."

"AW Painting has done several jobs at my house. This time Carlos and crew repaired drywall and painted. Outside they pressure washed the patio, deck, front porch and driveway plus prepped and painted porch metal railings. As usual, workmanship is excellent and price is fair."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

To make sure the paint won’t bubble as you apply it, make sure to paint on a day that’s cooler than 85 degrees Fahrenheit. When the temperature is too high, the paint won’t dry evenly, which can result in bubbles forming on the surface. Another way to prevent paint from bubbling is to clean the walls, apply primer, and let everything dry completely before you begin.

Yes, you can waterproof any wood that has not already been treated. A good way to test this is to splash some water on it. If the water starts to bead up, the wood is treated and most likely doesn’t need another coating.

The best time to paint your deck is when temperatures are neither too cold (below 60 degrees) nor too hot (above 85 degrees). Always paint your deck when there’s no risk of rain. For fast-drying paint like acrylic or latex, ensure your deck can dry for at least four hours. Oil-based paints take longer to dry and may require 48 hours to completely cure.

DIY is possible but presents risks of uneven surfaces or improper adhesion; professionals offer expertise to ensure a lasting finish.

Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.
