"Company owner Mario came promptly (within two days of our call) to do an estimate; we walked around the house together discussing the specifics of what was to be done. Mario volunteered certain services and ideas as options; he provided an estimate on the spot, which we accepted a day or two later. Work was scheduled about a week later. A crew of four, headed by William, arrived punctually and set right to work. The job took about two and a half days. A paint job nowadays is far more than paint. That was especially true in our case, where only about 1/4 of the front of the house, plus some exterior window trim and doors, is painted surface. It's practically like getting a whole new house - the crew power washed the entire house, as well as the driveway, front sidewalk, and deck; cleaned the outside of the gutters where that black soot collects; washed exterior windows; re-caulked doors, windows, and siding where needed; and of course - painted the parts that needed paint. The crew worked efficiently, showed up on time each day. We were impressed with their attention to detail, for example, the steel lintels above the windows were thoroughly scraped, brushed and painted; and one small section of damaged window frame was repaired. I should add that after the work was finished, we found one small problem; we called and they sent William back that Saturday to deal with it. He truly went "above and beyond" to do so. We had used Solution before, for a large part of the interior of the house, and would gladly call on them again."

"It went well.  We chose the color and supplied the paint.  Merrifield Paint and Design promptly returned my call to set the appointment, came on time to confirm the price and detail the work,then a painter returned on the appointed day.  He completed all the steps of preparation and painting, the departed after he made sure I was satisfied.  
Prior to the painter's arrival, I had already removed the furniture from the room and removed wall decorations but he spackled nail holes, etc. to ensure a nice finish.  I was delighted with how quickly the project proceeded.  We let the paint "cure" for 2 days before returning the furniture and re-decorating the walls.  The fresh paint in a new color really transformed the look of the room.  $325 plus two days -- and a whole new look.  Well worth it in general, but the $75 extra for the closet seemed a little high.  Merrifield Paint and Design completed the work professionally and punctually.

Painted deck, do not believe they used the amount of the pre paint solution I had bought and did not do two coats, I bought 2 gallons of deck paint from sherwin williams and they didnt even use one whole gallon, did not paint one of the deck post that was in the ground. Paint didnt even last through one summer, told owner and said he would be back in late spring (2016) to remain the deck, never saw them again."

They then sanded and stained the deck, replaced all of rotted wood trim and parts of the wood garage door, and painted all exterior trim (including windows) and the front door.
