"Kustom Floors really did an amazing, terrific and expert job installing hardwood flooring in my hallway, living room and dining room. I am so happy with the beautiful job that they did on my floors. My home is 94 years old, and the floors had settled in the dining room up against the wall and between the living room and dining room area. Some of the existing slats in the floor were loose and needed to be nailed down before the work could start. Rudy’s team leveled the floor where it had settled in the dining room and living room and then reinforced the existing floor with nails and installed natural red oak flooring. Rudy’s team restored life back into my floors. The rooms look so beautiful. He even installed an access panel with the same flooring natural red oak color over the existing access panel. I absolutely love the job that they did, and very well done. Rudy and his team are very professional and friendly. They respected my home. They took care in covering my furniture and moving it. I highly recommend Kustom Floors to anyone who is looking for an expert flooring company that care about the work that they do. It was a pleasure working with Rudy and his team!"

"I had worked with Latif and it was a great experience. The pricing was reasonable and he was very accommodating to the schedule (COVID related). The time to complete was on point and the team was professional. Highly recommend working with them and ask for Latif. I am currently working with Rennaissance again to fix work that another flooring company had made a mistake on (and are failing to honor their warranty)."

"Brian from Torres flooring reached out to me immediately after I submitted my request, and quickly gave me a quote and did the repair that day! We had a small section of our vinyl floor cut out by our previous owners to install a wooden railing. We removed the railing and needed the flooring patched with some of the flooring we had stored away. I contacted so many floor companies who said the job was 'too risky' and declined the job, or told us we needed to replace the entire floor (for like $5k). Brian was super friendly and said he could do the job no problem, understood what we needed done, and did a great job! We were seriously getting desperate and didn't know if we were ever going to get our floor fixed. HUGE thank you to Brian for the expertly rescuing our floor!"

"Prospect Flooring very professionally listened to our flooring needs, promptly provided a quote for two options, and quickly scheduled our project to meet our time schedule. Their work crew was very courteous and knowledgeable. They installed and finished new hardwood flooring in our kitchen to seamlessly match the flooring in the adjacent dining room and kitchen. They completed the work sooner than we anticipated and we were very pleased with the final product. I recommend them for flooring work."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install an epoxy garage floor is $2,514, with typical projects ranging from $750 to over $5,716. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $12. Several factors influence the total cost, including the total square footage, required surface preparations, the type and thickness of the epoxy, design complexity, decorative options, and labor costs. For example, an epoxy floor for a one-car garage may cost between $720 and $2,900, while a two-car garage can range from $1,100 to $4,300. Adding decorative elements like flakes can cost about $10 per 250-pound bag, and choosing a metallic epoxy can increase the price to between $5 and $12 per square foot. With proper care and maintenance, a well-installed epoxy floor can last for 10 to 20 years.

Yes, installing laminate over carpet could negatively affect the resale value of your home. It’s no surprise that homebuyers prefer flooring that someone has installed according to industry standards. Laminate over carpet may raise concerns about the quality and stability of the flooring, impacting the overall perceived value of the property.

When considering cork flooring pros and cons, you may have toyed with the idea of getting other types of flooring, including hardwood. But how does it compare in price? Your new cork flooring can cost less than hardwood, depending on the wood type you choose. Cork costs about $5 to $19 per square foot, while hardwood costs $6 to $25 per square foot.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

It takes about one to two days to remove carpet and install laminate flooring for small and medium-sized rooms. A larger room may take an extra day to complete. If you’re replacing flooring throughout your house, expect closer to one to two weeks, depending on your home’s square footage.
