"We had our entire bathroom entirely demolished all the way down to the support beams and fully rebuilt (the house is old and needed a lot of repairs). The entire team was absolutely amazing from designing and planning (Junior), to the project getting done (Kadir was our PM, Tony and Paul were our electricians, and all the other guys who came in to do the tilework and plumbing - I am sorry I do not know their names but they were also awesome). This bathroom required an enormous amount of work and it came out absolutely beautiful. The whole team takes a lot of pride in their work and they truly desire that their customers are happy and expectations are exceeded with their work. I am already planning more projects with them, their work is not limited to bathroom and kitchen remodels, and I look forward to working with them again. The quality of their work is guaranteed and their prices are super reasonable (big plus)."

"Adding and remodeling a house, while you are living in it can be stressful, that is why when it was time to add a new family room, garage and remodeling the kitchen, I interviewed several builders and requested multiple quotes. But when we met Jimmy Jimenez, owner and principal at MESCO, I felt immediate confidence that they will do the job right and for the right price. Although MESCO has an architect, we already had our blueprints. JimmyâÂÂs team was the best I could have wish for, they went above and beyond, they follow the blueprints of the design and materials to the T. I called them the special forces of construction, they have a can-do attitude and were able to solve problems on the go, all with the highest quality in mind. We lived in the house while they were doing all this work, and they did it in only 7 weeks, which was almost nothing in comparison with other constructions in our neighborhood, MESCO was the fastest and certainly the BEST. Can't have enough words of praise and gratitude to Jimmy Jimenez and his team for an amazing job. After a couple of weeks, it felt like Uncle Jimmy was the one renovating our home, he took care of us like if we were family, his team went above and beyond what they were hired for. I highly recommend MESCO to anyone doing an addition, second floor or any renovation in their home."

"We had a great experience with ANF. If I would be able to give them 6 stars I would do it!. Fazil and Matt and their team were timely, professional and extremely reliable. We would recommend them to anyone that is in the market for a new kitchen or bath. We love our new kitchen and couldnâ t be more grateful that it was in their hands."

"I came to Melissa & Bluehouse a number of years ago as I couldn't visualize the layout to accomplish my goals in what began as a kitchen remodel. Melissa's impeccable handling of my project from the word "go" is nothing but an understatement! Each and every detail I listed from want's & desires to fears & concerns were addressed. Living up to her word every step of the way, Melissa addressed my list while pointing out elements I hadn't thought of. She was aware of my limits and not only kept her bottom line under control, but she didn't design anything out of our budget. Considering we were on track to break ground in the spring of 2020, when Covid hit & supply chains derailed our start, Melissa was poised to do whatever needed to be done. In the end, rising costs & limited supply led us to delay construction until Jan. '23. As a TV news producer, I'm a tough cookie, and yet when I had questions, Melissa answered them honestly and often with visuals to help me understand what I needed to learn. I appreciated her teamwork attitude when working with the Structural Engineers let alone my amazing contractor! Melissa's perfectionism is the reason not one single measurement needed to be modified in what became not just a kitchen remodel, but a 1st-floor remake with our addition going both upstairs & down. When you consider who to hire, consider this, as a newswoman, I interview 3 people for every job, I don't cut corners and nothing gets swept under the rug. Melissa is THAT kind of pro! She is going to do right by you, because she knows what is at stake, and she is only going to put her name on something she stands behind. For that, and a million little reasons, without question, if I had another project, I'd hire her in a heartbeat!"

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.
The difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator is that the interior decorator focuses on the space’s colors, furniture, art, and finishes. An interior designer goes beyond that to plan and execute layouts, structural changes, and overall functionality in addition to aesthetics that the decorator manages. We recommend hiring an interior designer for major remodeling projects and hiring an interior decorator to establish or enhance your home’s interior style.
On average, hiring an interior designer costs about $8,200, ranging from $200 to $65,000, depending on where you live, the size of your home, and the type of decor. The total price tag of interior design services is based on whether they provide consultation and implementation as well as any specialty design services, such as home staging or digital design mock-ups. Residential interior designers typically charge an hourly rate of $50 to $200 per hour, or up to $500 per hour in areas with high demand.
Hiring an interior designer is often worth the investment, especially for larger projects beyond DIY interior design and project management skills. However, the decision to hire an interior designer depends on your budget and the size of the project. Some benefits of hiring an interior designer include:
Realizing the best layout and decor for optimal functionality of the space for your taste, budget, and lifestyle
Managing your project to keep the job on track and within budget
Assistance with home staging ahead of home sale
Serving as a point of contact for contractors
Accessing discounts from local suppliers
Before hiring an interior designer, ask a few questions to better understand how they work, what’s expected of you, and what they promise to deliver.
How long will the project take to complete?
What type of services do you offer?
Can you provide a project estimate?
Do you work with subcontractors?
Are you licensed or certified in this state?
Do you have a portfolio of previous work I can review?
May I contact your customer references?
How do you handle change orders?
How do you handle payment?
