The texted me right away and scheduled a tech to come out the next morning from 9-11 am. I got a text about 15 min prior advising that a tech would be there ~9:30. Chris, who happens to be the owner, did an extremely thorough job in diagnosing the issues... and double checked his work by ruling all other possibilities out. You could tell right away he s a master of his trade! After going to get the part, by the time was all was said and done, my air was being conditioned by a little after noon! He was friendly, considerate of tracking dirt in, took pics/video (so I wouldn t have to crawl in the crawl space), and explained everything to me. He genuinely cares about his work and giving customers fair, quality work. Absolutely recommend this company."

"We called Grove Heating and Cooling and appointment was able to be scheduled for an estimate within a few days. Mr. Kelly came to provide estimate and give recommendations for lower level heating/cooling. Estimate was reasonable. The job was scheduled within one week. Workers arrived on time, were considerate of the newly installed carpet by wearing shoe covers. Worked diligently and completed the job ahead of the estimated time (6 hours instead of 8 hours). Cleaned the work area. Foreman for the job explained what had been done, showed me the completed work. Very professional. Would definitely recommend."

"I have had a service contract with McCrea Heating and Cooling since I purchased my condo unit new 7 1/2 years ago which included 2 maintenance visits a year. My current contract expired yesterday so I called to renew my service contract and upgrade from "Bronze" to "Silver." The representative took my charge card information over the phone. I asked if the contract was in effect as of today. They said "yes." Then I tried to schedule a service call (my unit was serviced a little over a month ago and now the condo wasn't cooling.) I was told then that the Silver Contract would NOT be in effect after all. The difference in price between Bronze and Silver is the cost of a diagnostic visit so they were getting the money one way or another. My long time history with the company did not persuade them to honor the contract I had just paid for. They wanted to charge me $98 to have my problem diagnosed under the Bronze contract that I pointed out was already expired. I was told the representative "misspoke" and should have told me they would have to send out someone to determine whether the furnace they have been maintaining for the past 7 years (with the most recent service call just a month ago) would "qualify" for the Silver plan. So, I cancelled the order for the Silver Plan. I called another company who came out for $30 and determined the problem was a clogged condensation drain. This drain was supposed to have been "blown out" when the regular maintenance was done by McCrea just a month ago, but obviously was not. The water was backed up in the drain pipe and filled the pan under the furnace/AC unit which turned off the AC. Now that everything is working again, I am seeking a different maintenance service plan provider. McCrea has competitive service contract prices, but if they have no customer loyalty, and the maintenance work is not done properly, maybe it's a question of "you get what you pay for.""
