Grove Heating & Cooling came to the rescue 5/17 after another local company couldn't complete the job. We needed our heat pump/compressor moved for the installation of a patio then reconnected. The "other" company disconnected then couldn't schedule to finish even after giving them a months notice ahead of time. We found Grove and gave them a call. It was after hours and the on-call tech returned the call. He wasn't able to come out that night but made sure to call to schedule the very next morning. By noon we had service to reconnect the heat pump and 3 hours later we were up and running. Everyone at Grove were so responsive and went out of their way to make sure we felt like a priority. You can really tell why they have been in business as long as they have been with how well they treat their customers on top of being technically proficient. Our family is now a super fan and advocate for Grove. Highly Recommended! Mike

OK service technician, but I was way overcharged for the refrigerant that was added. They added 4 lbs of 410A refrigerant and charged me $78/lb for a total of $312. This refrigerant can be purchased for less than $8/lb. A 900% markup for 410A is unreasonable. Shame on them.

On 7/6/20, James Sweitzer of Grove H&C arrived promptly at my home in Crofton. He politely explained to me what he was going to do to determine the problem. He determined the problem (Capicitor) and informed me of the the steps needed to correct. He then quoted me the price (Very Fair}. i gave him the OK to proceed. Problem corrected. I would highly recommend Grove H&C. Their technician was most competent and courteous. Estimate is provided prior to work and the price is very reasonable. Could not be happier with Grove H&C and its technician, James Sweitzer!!

We called Grove Heating and Cooling and appointment was able to be scheduled for an estimate within a few days. Mr. Kelly came to provide estimate and give recommendations for lower level heating/cooling. Estimate was reasonable. The job was scheduled within one week. Workers arrived on time, were considerate of the newly installed carpet by wearing shoe covers. Worked diligently and completed the job ahead of the estimated time (6 hours instead of 8 hours). Cleaned the work area. Foreman for the job explained what had been done, showed me the completed work. Very professional. Would definitely recommend.

As a new customer, I was surprised and pleased that the service could be performed on the same day I made the request. Mike was very thorough and professional, and provided a clear explanation of our system and new wi-fi thermostats. Everything was done efficiently - I am looking forward to having Grove maintain our system on our annual maintenance plan.

We were extremely happy with our entire experience. Grove responded quickly to our inquiry - provided a quote the next day and started the day after that. Our attic air handler was very difficult to access and Grove had a "can do" attitude about the entire installation. The price was comparable to other bids - but for a better system and with a much better explanation. They were on time, complete, and clean. We will absolutely use them again.

Great, saved me a lot of money!

I had them replace my entire HVAC system (furnance + AC). They did a great job through the whole process. Out of four quotes I received, they were the only ones that took the time to do a full heating and cooling load calculation for my house when they came to do an estimate in addition to making detailed measurements of our utility room to make sure anything they installed would fit. They gave me three proposals ranging from low-end, mid-range, and high end options and explained the equipment in each of them in detail, including documenting all the model numbers, efficiency ratings, and specs. What they recommended matched up with my research I did prior to receiving estimates. They were very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional so I gave them the job. The crew arrived on time, worked hard the whole day, were respectful of my house, and did not require supervision (although, they told me I was more than welcome to ask questions and watch anything they were doing). They cleaned up, explained the warranty and rebate options with all the paperwork already filled out so that all I had to do was sign--they even mailed both the warranty and rebate off for me. The whole process went great. While their prices were fair they were not the cheapest, but I have no doubt they did a great job, didn't cut corners, and will stand by their work if I experience any problems. They are a reasonably sized HVAC business and not a one-man-band shop like many places in the area, so I know they will likely still be around through the life of the warranty and are well staffed to respond to emergencies, including a 24/7 emergency service number. Overall, we're very happy with the new system and it's a huge improvement over what it replaced--both the AC and furnace are much quieter than the old units, more energy efficient, and perform better. It's been a month since the install and everything has been working fine without problems.

I called Grove on a Wednesday, they were out to do an assessment on Thursday morning, and had a full and professional looking quote for me an hour after the technician left. They were there at 9am Friday morning to do the work. During the proposal/signing process I emailed back and forth with a number of questions, which they answered promptly and clearly. They were courteous and respectful and got right to work. They wore the booties in my house to keep from tracking. The guys clearly enjoyed what they do as they bantered and sang while they worked (sound travels in our house, and I was home while they worked). I thought it was fantastic. The few times I checked in with them they explained what they were working on, and how far along they were. They completed the work in less time than they originally projected, which I appreciated.

I was referred to Grove by a family member after receiving estimates from two other companies. Garrett Grove arrived on time to provide an estimate. He was efficient, knowledgeable and unlike the other two companies, did not waste my time with a bunch of useless chatter. After reviewing my system, he was able to write up and print out an estimate on the spot. He went over the warranty and explained what all was included in the installation price. This process took approximately one hour. I went with the high efficiency system which vented to the outside of the house rather than up the chimney. After showing me what the outside venting would look like, I was not pleased with the appearance of the vents so Garrett showed me an alternative. Unlike the other sales people, Garrett was able to show me brochures with pictures and information of exactly what I was buying and online images so I knew precisely what I was getting. A down payment was made and a date established for installation. The team arrived on time and went about their job with little disruption to my household. I was kept informed of the progress and was told when I would lose water and/or heat while the installation was performed. I was consulted along the way as to where I wanted various pipes vented to the outside. The job took two days to complete. When the men were finished, they cleaned up the work site and showed me various points about the system, set up the thermostat and explained how it worked. While Grove's system was certainly not the least expensive, I am confident that I received a quality system and installation, and anticipate that I will continue to receive quality service in the future.

While I was extremely happy with my existing local HVAC company, I made the difficult decision to trust my gut and go with Grove. The Salesperson, Garrett, knew his material. He understood exactly what I wanted to do with the new unit and adding additional zones. He spent the time to explain the pros and cons of each unit and how the design and technology worked with the new features and designs. He even helped explain and clarify issues with other quotes I already had received. I was leaning towards a Carrier unit with another company, but after meeting with Garrett he gained my confidence. I decided to go with the Trane Heatpump unit for my upstairs replacement. I also had them re-configure the upstairs ducting into two zones. Garrett worked to beat the best quote I had. The Grove installation team was top-notch (very professional and hard working). Not once did I see them sitting or standing around. They worked non-stop from the time they arrived on site to the time they left. When the installation was completed, they cleaned, swept, and vacuumed the areas they were working. After the installation, I received two follow-up calls to check on how the unit was working and whether I had any questions. The zone installation and new unit has made a significant improvement to my upstairs rooms. Completely satisfied and would definitely recommend Grove to anyone needing a HVAC contractor.

Had a emergency where heat pumps were not working. Grove responded quickly gave me an estimate which was reasonable and quickly scheduled an install date for the following week which happened to be New Years Eve. They got it done, and did a great job.

Our furnace was not running properly on New Year's Day. We were able to get in touch with the office of Grove on that day and spoke with a technician who confirmed the holiday would incur additional charges and that we could wait until the next day for normal rates. As promised, the office called us back the next day to schedule a time for a technician to come. The issue was not resolved during the first visit, but Grove fit us into a busy schedule the next day to ensure our furnace was fully fixed. It was a pleasure working with them and we would gladly recommend or hire again.

They installed complete in one very long day and left my house almost as they found it. The system has been working fine for over a month.

The first company I hired could not handle a Trane furnace under warranty. I found Grove through the Trane authorized dealer website. Even though they are quite a distance from my home, Grove took the job and traveled the distance to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem. It was a rare malfunction, which did not respond to initial attempts to fix. The serviceman did not give up, and Grove was highly dependable in researching the problem, calling in supervisors and Trane technical support, making multiple long-distance visits, always arriving on time as expected, and ultimately arriving at a solution. They are a bit more expensive than my local company - but they did great work - and I figure it's the cost of quality. Highly recommend Grove HVAC - I will hire them for routine maintenance going forward.

Everything went extremely well. I found Grove a completely professional organization with highly skilled workers. Their plumber subcontractor handled the installation of all gas piping in my house, oversaw the hookup with BGE's gas line and installed the hot water heater. Grove provided a skilled crew of 5, with 2 working outside and 3 inside to remove all old equipment, do some duct repair and install the new air conditioner, gas furnace, humidifier and thermostat in 2 days. They also removed all debris from the worksite and swept it clean. Their work proposal included a year's maintenance, which I feel sure will be equally satisfactory. This was a big project (3 days including the plumber), but I am confident they would handle both small and large jobs with the same competence and professionalism. I highly recommend them.

It went well....they put on shoe covers before entering the house and were very polite. The only thing that I didn't like it that the bill was not itemized. I received a list of the work that was done as part of the quote, but nothing was itemized at any point, so I don't know what the specific cost was for anything. I think that is a problem
