The APR21 initial HVAC installation was successful, and the heat pump worked fine during the cooler months. However, when summer arrived the condenser unit in the basement leaked, and the water damaged the basement carpet. The dominion service man discovered that the air filter (20x16) had NOT been installed during the initial HVAC installation, and based on his many years of experience that caused the overflow. Dominion still charged me for the visit, claiming that the new drain was clogged Mind you, this was an entirely new HVAC installation, and a clogged drain after 8 weeks of AC operation is not likely - except when the filter is not installed. This was my experience with Dominion Service Company.

Dominion Services replaced my 30-year old HVAC system (the outside compressor, and the inside air handler) with a modern one having a 50% increased efficiency rating. The quality of their work is high (four friendly employees with more than 100+ years' combined experience were involved) and have good flexibility to adjust to my work schedule. They easily adapted the new system to the existing hook-ups, and were flexible in their selection among alternate, reliable replacement HVAC systems. The replacement cost was well within the range of the national average. I recommend contacting Dominion Services for insight into any HVAC issue.

Young man was very courteous, showed me what the problem was and was quick on the repair. The only thing I would say is if the tech from the company was going to be past the time indicated is that the company or tech call so the customer knows. Other than that a solid 4.5 rating.

Terrone responded immediately to our request for service on Saturday. He came to service our air-conditioner which was working minimally. He did fix it and it gave us relief from the heat. However, we knew that our heat pump/air conditioner was in need of replacement. Terrone talked to us about options, gave us some time to do research on the best choice for our home and came back to do the installation. His pricing was reasonable. He and Caleb worked to removed the old system, install the new system, install our new Smart Thermostat ( I-Comfort) and come back to check on the system and us that everything was working correctly. What makes our experience with Mr. Terrone Street so satisfying, both from a professional standpoint of excellent service but also and equally important from a personal standpoint, is that Mr. Street is is a man of integrity, character and dedication. He is honest and attentive, working always to do his very best for his customer as he would want for himself or his family member. He will do his best for you too, with commitment, capability, positivity and honesty.

They were more than an hour late. They charge $110.00 for a diagnostic fee and that will go toward the repair. He did not test anything He just looked at the furnace and said I needed a motor control module. They said they would have to get a price on the module and call me back. This was on a Friday. I waited until Monday afternoon and did not hear back from them so I called them. He called later and told me the module was not available separate and would have to replace the whole motor for $900.00. I found the module online on multiple sites for around $265.00.

"first we try to make our appointments on time and occasionally we run a little late but we call the customer with updates, as a licensed contractor we prefer using OEM parts this customer had a carrier system and only carrier has the original part there are after market parts that you can find online but they are not carrier manufacturer parts so sure you may pay less now but again very dishonest customer we charge him $110 to for a diagnostic gave him a cost of the part an labor"

Top quality work on short notice. I cannot be more pleased with how they helped us by inspecting the oil boiler and multiple HVAC systems prior to settlement on our new home which was built in 1971. Now we have complete knowledge and piece of mind concerning these systems. Dominion will be our "go to" contractor for maintenance and service calls.

The technician was great. He explained everything as he went along through it and recommended simple things to keep my system running more efficiently. It wasn';t until the supervisor wanted to speak to me over the phone that everything went down hill. Without even seeing my system he kept telling me that I needed a new one and kept trying to sell me one for $6000. I understand that it's a business and that's they're job, but don't try and up sell me on something that I don't currently need. Especially if you haven't seen it for yourself.

"If I am not mistaken upon the tech inspecting the HVAC system the system had iced up from inside to the outside the tech found that the unit was very low on freon and that was the reason it iced up, the system was not working that Is why we were called as the owner my job is to make sure the customer is fully informed about his options, so I thought I explained that his system has a freon leak in the coils an either the coil has to be replaced or replaced the complete system, now because its an old system with the old freon that the government has outlawed it will no longer be manufactuarted, so we do tell customer that when you consider repairs vs replace its not worth it."

I had been told by a repairman from a company I had a service contract with that my furnace badly needed a cleaning and was quoted a price of $600 for the job as well as an additional $400 to remove a nonworking humidifier. These quotes seemed exorbitant and so I got some estimates, all much lower, and chose Dominion on the basis of reviews. Terrone said my furnace did not need a cleaning, passing up an opportunity to charge me for something I thought I needed, and repaired my humidifier for less than the cost the other company had quoted for merely removing it. He showed me what he was doing, explained how my heating system worked, and charged me a fair price for the job. I would certainly call Dominion again for any HVAC needs.
