We started Better Water Heaters to provide fair pricing and quality service to the customers seeking water heater service or replacement. The truth is, most companies overcharge because they know you need hot water immediately and will probably pay a lot to get it quick. My typical customer is one who has price shopped the competition and have decided most companies either charge way too much or are hard to pin down to a firm price. We understand. You simply need a water heater and don’t want to deal with a sleazy salesman…you want to talk to a plumber….so give us a call and we’ll talk. At Better Water Heaters we do something quite rare in the plumbing business- install water heaters for a fair price. We grow our business one satisfied customer at a time; we don’t take advantage of a plumbing emergency and charge unreasonably. Your referral is important to us that is why we always will work to insure your complete satisfaction. We’re a small company and we keep our overhead low, because of this we don’t need to charge unreasonably. Of course we are licensed, bonded and insured and are very experienced at water heater installation and repair. We are experts in convention water heater repair and replacement, Tankless water heater installation, and other plumbing issues. We are the only water heater installation company in northern California that has earned the prestigious DIAMOND CERTIFICATION. We are also member of the Better Business Bureau. Our advertised prices include a quality water heater, basic installation and disposal of your old unit; Extra parts and labor required to do the job right, are additional. Call us for all your water heating needs. Estimates are always free and we never charge extra for nights, weekends, or holidays.
"Better Water Heater installed our tankless water heater incorrectly, creating a significant safety hazard for our tenant, an African American family of 5 with 3 small children. After a contractor from AHS reviewed the installation, they confirmed multiple issues, including code violations and fire risks. Major Problems with the Installation: Unsafe placement in a closet - The condensate has no proper drainage, which could lead to mold, rust, and fire hazards. Improper use of an evaporator pan - This pan is not intended for water heaters, creating a fire risk in an enclosed space. Oversized unit for our home - The Rinnai RU160iN is designed for larger homes. It's far too big for our 1-bed, 1-bath house, making it inefficient. Insufficient gas line - According to AHS, the gas line is too small to support this oversized unit, which could lead to gas flow issues or even pose a fire hazard. The city won't allow this installation to pass inspection because the gas line doesn't meet the required capacity. Permit/code violations - The installation was done without a permit and violates multiple building codes. When we confronted the company, they insisted their work was done correctly. Their "solution"? If we wanted the job to be done legally, we would have to pay for both the permit, their time working with inspectors, and additional costs to fix their mistakes--$995 for a bigger gas line to support the oversized unit. On top of that, they quoted us $585 for permit costs, even though the city building department told us the permit fee is only $150. Bottom Line: If you want a safe, legal, and code-compliant installation, DO NOT trust Better Water Heater. They cut corners, refuse accountability, and expect customers to pay extra to fix their mistakes."

TJ's Plumbing has been in business for over 10 years we specialize in residential and commercial Plumbing systems. We pride ourselves on the quality work we provide, while delivering great customer service! Call -or- click to schedule your estimate today!
"Though I am happy with the final result, I feel that TJ did a bit of a bait and switch. The person who showed up, Felipe, was from a different company. "TJ" quoted me $900 for the job and $300 to move washer and dryer to access the main valves. That's $1,200. In the end, washer and dryer were not moved. But I did ask them to replace a faucet cartridge in my bathtub, which they did. But before that, Felipe had managed to turn off the water to my unit without moving washer and dryer. He then had to cut into drywall to locate the outbound pipes, but made a mistake. The next cut he made found the water pipes but these were the wrong pipes. An emergency water shutoff to the building was required. In the end, the bill was for $1,800. They did not take credit card. No receipt was given to itemize work done. These guys, from Moor Plumbing Solutions, did work hard and got the job done but there was a serious lack of transparency from the very beginning, not to mention a near disaster."

We have 7 year experience on plumbing we are very clean and we use heavy duty materials. To get the best quality project.
"Fernando was very responsive - he returned my request very fast with a confirmed time to come to my house to repair ... both cold water and hot water under the kitchen sink were leaking. He showed up at my house at the exact time he said, and replaced both valves to stop the leakage. Excellent quality of work and professionalism. We hired him again second time to 1) install a new water heater tank and a new kitchen sink faucet, and 2) a full house plumbing inspection to ensure if any unseen leakage or issues ... we are very satisfied with his services."

Over 45 year's of experience in residential siding, window installation, and any other home renovation project, youll want to hire home remodelers with decades of professional experience and a commitment to exceptional service.
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - PLEASE READ & THINK TWICE, THREE TIMES. Sorry for the war & peace review but this is the short version. We purchased six (6) large, custom-built windows from K-Designers in 2017. The windows were installed incorrectly, and we were not aware of water problems until six months after installation, immediately notifying K-Designers of the issue. Sine that initial call in 2017, we have contacted K-Designers countless times over the years, speaking to many different individuals in leadership roles and nothing has been done to correct the problem. They sent individual out to assess the problem and one individual just added more calking around the outside of the windows but water continued to penetrate the house. More folks would continue to come out and then we never hear from them again. THIS WENT ON FOR YEARS. This last year we remodeled our home. The building contractor removed he trim and framing around the windows as it was evident the framing was becoming rotten and I explained in greater details the water problems we have been experiencing. New hardwood floors were being installed and we could not risk water damaging the floors. When the framing was removed, my building contractor showed me MULTIPLE openings around the windows where you could see light coming in from the outside. I called K-Designers again and I was (finally) put in touch with Regional Branch Manager from the Portland office. He seemed very concerned and was very responsive. The repairs to fix K-Designers mistake was $4,631.88. The Regional Manager believed that his company could have done the repairs for $1000. My building contractor stated under no circumstances could the repairs around the windows be adequately fixed for $1000, a great deal of damage had been done. My building contractor ALSO said he would be happy to talk to anyone at K-Designers and provide greater detail about the work they had to do to fix the problem. No representative from K-Designers contacted my building contractor and we finally settled to receive a payout of $1000. I suppose something is better than nothing. I signed the settlement agreement on 2/22/2024 and have not heard from the regional manager or anyone from K-Designers. My wife and I have both tried to contact the Regional Manager numerous times from different phones, leaving messages asking him to call us. We have also sent text messages and emails as well, with no response. I emailed the company, no response. itâ s very clear we are being ignored and this is their business practice. We came out of pocket with money we did not have to fix K-Designers installation mistake. The reason I gave a 3.5 rating for the value of the windows is I learned we paid way to much when we were having other windows replaced & the contractor told me how much he would have charged me."

Yes, most states require plumbers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality, added future expenses, and potential code violations. Having a licensed plumber tackle your projects only protects you as a homeowner.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Before finding the right plumber for your job, there are a few questions that you should ask, including:
Are you licensed and insured?
Do you charge for estimates?
Is your fee a flat rate, or is it hourly?
Who will do the work? Are they all licensed and qualified plumbers?
What happens if any breaks or damages occur?
What is your response time in an emergency?
Is cleanup included in the quote?
Do your services come with a guarantee?
Discussing these questions with your plumbing contractor will help eliminate future issues and clarify expectations.
Before your plumber pays you a visit, it’s a good idea to clean up any boxes, garbage, or other obstacles that could be in their way. In addition, it’s best practice to clean the area that needs to be inspected or worked on, like a toilet, for example. Make sure to keep kids and pets out of the way once the plumber arrives.
Typically, plumbing repairs cost about $325 per job but can range from $175 to $4,000 or more. Simple fixes, such as a toilet repair, will be less expensive at around $150 to $400. However, if you have a pipe that has burst, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 or more.
The project that needs to be completed, the size of your home, and the type of plumbing pipes you have can all impact the final cost. External factors such as supply chain issues and shortage of materials all play a part in how much this repair might be.
A faucet replacement vs. a failed waste line flooding a finished basement would be at opposite ends of a very broad spectrum. "A plumbing repair" could range from perhaps a $150 minimum service charge up to tens of thousands of dollars for a substantial repair and associated cleanup, finish work, etc.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
