911 Plumbing

My last need for Mike Tyo DBA 911 Plumbing was for a slow running drain from the washingmaching. Mike came and fixed the problem and with his creative genius I think he made an addition so it couldn't happen again.
I never use any other plumbers because he is the best.

The whole thing was great.  Once he determined that the existing valve couldn't just be replaced, he was very cautious and hesitant and made sure that I didn't want to just shut off the valve, close up the wall, and leave well enough alone.  He wanted to make sure I was ok with spending the extra money to really fix it by taking out more drywall and digging deeper to find the original source of the clog, before he went ahead and did it.  Once I made it clear that I was fine with the extra expense to do it right, he got excited to get his hands dirty on the job and got right to work.  He pulled off a little more wall to expose the whole section of pipe he needed to replace, replaced it, put in the valve and its access point for the refrigerator water line, and cut a new piece of drywall to fit into the hole.  He left it to me to finish and paint the drywall, which I was happy to do myself anyway (and didn't really matter much since it was behind the fridge).  Overall, a great experience.  Mike is an honest, no nonsense guy who does a good job.

The plumber who came out 911 Plumbing Company for the install was excellent. Everything about him was fine. He did a good job. He was out of here in no time. The price was reasonable. I would use 911 Plumbing Company again in the future.

Mike Tyo is really good. I use him all the time. Over the past years, he has done numerous jobs for me. He replaced the water heater, three months ago. I called him at 9 in the morning and he came out with the new water heater by 10 a.m. He charged me $900 for this job. He is very reasonable. The only difficulty is that since he is so popular, he is booked up a lot. He is a personal friend. I got him at a lucky time. When I called him regarding the water heater, he wasn?t very busy. However, I had to wait a while for him when I used his services last. I spent around $125 during this time. I have used atleast 8-9 times over the last 10 years. I have never used anybody for this long. I will definitely continue to use him in the future.

A GREAT experience! It's common to be disappointed by a service company, but I was thrilled by Michael Tyo Plumbing (a.k.a. 911 Sewer & Drain). We had a sewer backup on Wed night. I was tired of the franchise "rooter" businesses and wanted to start a relationship with a local plumber. I found Michael Tyo who has a good review on Yahoo local. I phoned his office number and left a message late at night (his cell number was listed also). First thing Thursday morning, Michael phoned me and came out at 8:35. He quickly diagnosed where the problem was by opening a clean out in the garage and in the front grass. I was impressed by how he covered the garage with tarps just in case of a spill. He correctly diagnosed that the problem was not in the house, but in the street. A powered snake cleaned out the pipe in the center of the street. He offered helpful tips on how to deal with the City of San Mateo as this was really their infrastructure that was clogged, not my house. HIGHLY recommended.
