"Ramiro came and gave us an estimate as requested. He was professional and his reviews were excellent. Because of the Stay at Home Order due to COVID-19 we had to wait for 6 weeks before the job could be done. Ramiro scheduled our job for June 8th. On June 8th we received a call that the fence posts were not delivered. Ramiro thought they would be delivered on June 10th. We gave him an extra day and thus started our build on June 11th. From there everything went according to plan. We are very pleased with the job that Ramiro did. It is a "Nice View Fence." And we will likely have him come back next year to replace our 20 year old fence with another "Nice View Fence." We would definitely hire Ramiro again."

"Cano's fencing was great! There was hidden concrete and a special order gate that was handled quickly-no drama and no problem when I asked that the neighbor's side of the fence go up first due to an unfriendly dog. Any questions were addressed immediately. The fence is beautiful and Luis installed better hardware and took special care to clean up every scrap of old fence and debris. Our big project took only 3 days and we are happy to recommend Cano's for any project."

"Loved Earth NW constr in Everett.   Noe was very quick, kind and communicative.   His group of carpenters who arrived early were also very kind as well.  Phone communication was excellent with his wife, Fabiola. she emailed estimates that were completed quickly and were very professional.   Very quick job done.  I was so impressed with the speed and agility for them to do such tough physical labor.  I had forgotten to communicate what gate style I wanted, they were quick to text me a photo of a style I preferred and that they had done before.  Easily accomplished that very day.   I asked them to avoid damage to a giant Cedar and a very old, very large Camelia.  They expertly avoided crushing branches and bushes. Clean up was tough for them, as they had to work in very rainy muddy conditions, however most all scrap and old fence was removed. The condition of my old fence was terrible. It literally fell apart in bits as they removed it, so some minor cleanup was required on my end when the rain stopped. I am so pleased with the design and commission.  I hope it lasts forever, but I know who to call if it does not!    Many thanks"

"Sam replaced 60 ft of fencing for us. His price was reasonable, he used quality materials, showed up when he said he would, and he did a great job! The fence looks beautiful. Definitely recommend!"

"OMG I love my new fence, they came when they said they would. They did the work, cleaned up all the mess and I am so excited to allow my large breed dog outside now. Not to worry if the kids next door will tease or bother me or my dog again. 6 feet high and privacy slates is the way to go, I am bragging to everyone I know, LOVE LOVE LOVE my fence and the price was prefect. Thank you, Duke for doing such a wonderful job. I will call you again if I need to upgrade my chainlink."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In the vast majority of cases, chain-link fences are less expensive than wood fences. Installing a wood fence costs anywhere from 20% to 30% more than a chain-link fence, or an average of $3,100, whereas a similarly sized chain-link fence will average around $2,400. Even with add-ons and additional protective finishes, a chain-link fence is very likely to cost you less than a wood fence. The only exception would be a split rail wood fence, which can cost about half the price of a chain-link fence or less.

A board on board fence is more expensive than other types of privacy fences. That’s because these fences require overlapping boards, which drives up material and labor costs. On average, a board on board fence costs 30% more than an average wood fence.

There are several options for post materials. Depending on where you live, the weather, and what kind of durability you want, you can choose from wood, steel or concrete posts for a barbed wire fence. Your corner and end posts should be especially strong in order to maintain the structural integrity of the fence.

When deciding between fence post foam and concrete, the best choice depends on your specific needs and priorities. Concrete is generally considered stronger and more durable, making it the preferred option for heavy, load-bearing posts. However, expanding foam offers several advantages, such as being more eco-friendly and curing much faster. For smaller fences or those made with lighter materials like vinyl or wire mesh, post foam is a good alternative. While concrete is more affordable, it is also harder to work with and has a longer curing time.

A chain link fence typically lasts between 15 and 20 years, but with proper maintenance, it can last for 30 years or more. To preserve the fence, it's important to keep the mesh wire tight, which can be done with a come-along tool every 6 to 12 months. Investing in a fence with a galvanized, powder-coated, or vinyl-coated finish can increase its lifespan to 20 to 30 years and reduce maintenance needs, as these coatings provide extra protection against the elements.
