"Darrin and his crew were professional from start to finish. We needed a badly neglected yard pruned, weeded, and dressed up to put our house on the market. This crew turned a veritable jungle into a beautiful lawn and gardens that any prospective buyer will be drawn to, rather than repelled by. The bid estimate visit was conducted promptly and on schedule, and Darrin wrote up his bid on the spot. The actual final cost came in under the bid amount. We were well pleased with the work of Greenridge Landscape, and we will gladly recommend them to others and would also gladly hire them again for other jobs."

"Randy, from Universal Landscape, arrived when he said he would and finished the job a day earlier than planned. Work went like clockwork. Cleaned up nicely after each day and when job was completed. My wife and I were extremely impressed with their work and professionalism. Also, Randy was able to bring cost in below original estimate."

"Felix and team communicated very well and helped me design some basic landscaping for the yard that would be low maintenance and look good year round. He put a lot of work into preparing the quote. The work was completed timely and accurately and the yard looks fantastic! I would recommend them for landscaping services."

"Great job on my new front garden planters and love the paver walkway. They will be remodeling my back yard, removing the deck and building a paver patio."

"I highly recommend Santos and his team. They were prompt and extremely efficient. I had my whole lawn removed within hours and they hauled away 3.5 tons of sod. Santos worked with me as I had installed a Rain Bird sprinkler system that needed trenching to lay in the ground. A few days later, three inches of top soil and sod was delivered and installed in one day. For a few extra dollars, Santos went above and beyond after the sod installation and topped off my landscaping with dark bark in flower beds in which his crew assisted me in cleaning the beds. My yard is beautiful and all my neighbors have given me many complements. Thank you Santos!"

"Absolutely wonderful job. They arrived early and worked hard all day doing fall cleanup work in my yard. They trimmed all my bushes, weeded all my gardens, mowed and trimmed my grass. This was quite a job to do in my big yard and they stayed focused and worked hard. They had perfect clean up and hauled all debris away. I have had several landscaping companies through the years but my yard has never looked this good. And the cost was reasonable. I am very grateful, thank you"

Customers say: True professional

"They totally cleared a portion of my property of blackberries, dead and volunteer trees & bushes and all stumps then added bark and some plants. It looks beautiful. Front lawn was sodded and back lawn thatched and reseeded. The crew were hard working, and courteous. They meticulously cleaned up all yard debris and left the yard spotless. The only reason I'm giving 4 star is because I want to see how reseeded portion of lawn does. All in all though I was impressed with their work."

"Jimenez Landscapes did a great job on my irrigation. My yard already had lots of plants and they were careful in working around them, and digging them out if necessary. The system saves me time, and water, since I no longer have to move sprinklers around the yard. I'm happy with the results, and would recommend Jimenez Lsndscapes."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.

Hedge plants are available in almost every size, from seedlings to fully mature, six-foot-tall shrubs. Planting smaller plants is much easier and more cost-effective. However, it can take years for the plants to reach maturity and create a full hedge. Garden centers and specialty retailers sometimes offer three to four-foot wide plants that you can simply plant next to each other for an instant full hedge.

The best time to plant a tree is in the spring, so the roots have time to grow into the surrounding soil before winter sets in. Some people recommend planting in the late fall. However, planting in the spring reduces the stress on the tree, as it will be emerging from dormancy, giving it the full spring and summer ahead to acclimate and put down roots into the soil.

Yes, it is possible to add too little mulch. Anything less than 1 inch will likely result in too little coverage around your plants, allowing weeds to grow through and minimizing the positive effects that a deeper bed of mulch would have, like maintaining proper soil moisture and insulating the ground.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.
