DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen? of Greater Fredericksburg provided excellent service and support throughout the entire remodeling process.  Steve Everett, the General Manager, planned and negotiated all aspects of the project from start to finish.  We were new to the process, so Steve explained all options and the implications of the various choices.  He made recommendations based upon the quality and durability of the options.  He regularly visited the work site to ensure excellent service.  At the final stages of the project Steve personally performed detail work, to address and resolve our concerns. 

All of his subcontractors were excellent.  They arrived on time, protected the interior of my home from any and all debris throughout the process, and were courteous and professional.  Initially the subcontractors laid down a plastic cover for dust protection.  They put floor runners in place between the work area and exit door.  These stayed in place throughout the project.  The subcontractors cleaned up and removed all debris.

 The contractor who handled installation of the shower valve, shower outlet, and handle bars checked with me regularly to ensure proper placement  of these items,  The tile people went a step above the contract requirements and put a corner seat in the shower for me!  The glass contractors explained out to properly care for the shower enclosure.

The materials that they use are very high quality. At the end of each day we would come home to a clean house - or as clean as possible - as they sweep and clean up every day. "The project has taken more time than anticipated due to material and subcontractor availability. The framing work was outstanding. Wall board work was also outstanding. Electrical work was very good, but the location of a bathroom fixture and chair lift power plug had to be moved because they were too low. The tile work in the bathroom (shower and floor), computer room (floor), entrance (floor) was outstanding, but I'd rather call it amazing. The plumbing work was very good, but parts availability delayed completion. Finishing work done by MJL was outstanding!!! Anthony is a master at detail. The rigor of MJL inspection of work by the subcontractors was very thorough and when issues were identified were recorded and worked off. Communication and follow up is a big deal for home improvement projects in this challenging environment of material, parts, and workforce shortages. MJL excelled in communication. We rated punctuality as good but would have rated them very good if there was an option. We highly recommend them. We have since booked two additional projects with MJL, a screened in porch and a garage redo. They start in late July. We expect both projects to go very well."

"The company was professional and one that our horrible HOA is OK with. The salesman told me the company president is a neighbor or friend of the HOA president. They delivered exactly what they promised which I appreciated however they were extremely expensive and I believe I was given a slight discount for being an Angie's List member. They left a sign in my yard advertising their business but when I called with a question they couldn't answer it because they sub-contracted the job. The house looks much better and the salesman was helpful choosing a matching color but there is one thin piece of wood that sits under the eves the whole circumference of the house and it was not replaced. I wish I had known I was facing this when all was said and done. I might have just done one more round of painting which a handyman could do.....made it last a few more years. It looks great but I still have to pay a handyman to paint that one thin piece all the way around the house. I know when a company sub-contracts you never get the same care. That fact would have made a difference in my decision as well. I suppose fault lies with me for not doing enough research but it would have been nice if the experts had pointed it out.
