"We have normally done interior painting ourselves, but this was a big job (living room, hallway, bedroom) and since we also had some ceiling damage from a leak we decided to get it done for us. We had used Jim the Handyman for a couple jobs last year and were very satisfied with the work so called them again. They showed up early to do the estimate and we discussed a number of items to be priced so that could pick and choose if need be. We quickly got an estimate and agreed to getting the work done. It was supposed to be a week to a week and a half out from the Thursday estimate date but they called the next Sunday afternoon and said they could begin the job Tuesday (finishing Thursday). We said yes. Mike showed up within the 9-11 timeframe on Tuesday and got right to work.. He was the lead guy for the three days, directing others who came to help. Very impressive. Not only does he know everything about how to paint, he knows how to manage a job. And he is a pleasant and friendly guy on top of that. The crew prepped, painted, and cleaned up. They made sure the job was done right (no need to follow behind and check on their work - they do their own quality control). We supplied the paint and spent a day getting things off the wall and some things moved. We have a lot on our walls and so I spackled as things came down. We could have left it, especially the wall repair. Mike could immediately tell what had been done and went back and did it correctly. We probably would still take things off the wall to prep, but the rest we would leave to their crew. The areas of the ceiling that were damaged are back to looking perfect. We had some paint bubbles in one bathroom ceiling - also corrected - and with a better paint choice that Mike recommended. The new door and door frame were more of a challenge for the guy who came to do the work because the one jamb was a little out of plumb (our house was built in 1961), but he got it done. We are very pleased with the experience, the quality of the work, and extremely pleased with the finished result. Its like having a new home."

"Beyond my expectations! The old door was condensing inside and out, we knew there would be extensive damage to the wood framing and floor area beneath. It was worse than I expected. Mike installed the new door, created a way for our pet door to fit while still being able to LOCK the slider! Over three days - the tear out, purchasing of many materials, repairing the frame, installing the new door, repainting/restoring the interior and exterior to BETTER than they previously appeared, and rigging that new and improved pet door - he worked diligently. I have never had a workman that was so neat! Cleaning up debris, bagging trash, maintaining the work area organized and safe. I have already recommended him to friends, and they have all said how great he was! I have many other projects planned, and will not hesitate to call Home Remedies again."

He listens and offers suggestions when needed or appropriate. I also used an interior designer with whom he worked with ease. We had an aggressive time frame for this project and it was met. Our two favorite things about working with Gary and his crew are 1) their quickness in responsiveness and 2) quality control. On multiple occasions I witnessed Gary instructing a crew member to "rip it out and start all over". In our experience with house projects, that is a rarity. "Jose and his team remodeled our master bathroom. They removed the existing tile, tub, and shower and installed a walk in shower, They needed to move the plumbing for the shower and vanity, install a new tile floor, build the shower, install tile for the shower floors, walls, and two niches. They also, repaired all the walls and painted the entire room. Their craftsmanship on the tile work, drywall work, and painting is the best that I have seen. They did an incredible job. They were very professional. They arrived on time every day. Jose is an excellent communicator and took the time to explain any options throughout the project. They put protective material down on all the floors leading to the bathroom and setup a plastic barrier each day to contain the dust. At the end of every day, they cleaned up their work area so that the construction materials and tools were limited to the bathroom itself. We had compete access to the rest of the master bedroom. Very highly recommended and I would not hesitate to contract with Munoz Construction again."
