We are an established family owned painting company that began 34 years ago. We currently have 40 Employees and are fully licensed and insured in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. WPP offers full service residential and commercial painting and carpentry services. After interviewing hundreds of our clients Williams Professional Painting was selected by EBSCO Research as one of Northern Virginia's "Best Picks" for Professional Painting Contractors 2 years in a row. I called and asked for an estimate to paint my kitchen cabinets. I was asked to send pictures which I did. After they received the pictures they sent them to their estimator and provided a price. I asked them to call me to answer some questions that I had. I asked a number of questions about their process used to paint cabinets and how they arrived at their estimate. After questioning the price, and finding out that they charge approx. $120/hr per painter I asked for further pricing detail. They responded a day later and instead of providing the pricing detail they said they were no longer interested in the job. I asked why they weren't interested and they said it was due to work backlog issues. It's ironic how they chose to no-bid due to a backlog issue one day after me asking for pricing detail. I'm going with a more transparent company. Thanks to Kim for NOT providing the customer with a response to a reasonable request. Be careful with this company, and don't you dare question their price.

Most of your questions seemed to center on what we pay our workers, margins, and other private business practices. We value our employees greatly and pay them the best wages we can. Your opinions on what they should receive just do not line up with our company values, making it clear that we're not a good fit. Just to clarify one other point... We often receive signed agreements on formal quotes for several jobs in a given day, and the schedule can fill up rapidly, which also came into play here. It's not abnormal, especially given the season we're in right now. We wish you luck finding a company that reflects your standards. We also encourage anyone reading this to please read our many five star reviews (all except this one) to find out what we are REALLY about, and why our standards matter."

Rick came out personally to assess the job, explained exactly what would be needed, and within 24 hours I had a detailed written quote (at a fair price) and soon after scheduled the work, which was done completely to my satisfaction by a friendly crew that observed COVID protocols. Highly recommended.

When I first moved into my condo, I knew I wanted crown molding someday for my living space. Williams Professional Painting caught my eye with a blog post on their website, and their reputation was backed up on Angie's List. Their quote was on the high side, as the Angie's List reviews warned, but the follow-through made it all worthwhile. Jaqui's twenty years of experience shone through. Their attention to detail was absolutely meticulous, and they were incredibly conscientious with regard to my home and my possessions. The team even finished ahead of schedule. My only regret with the exprience is that I didn't immediately contract to have my kitchen and bathrooms done at the same time! WPP will be my first choice when it comes time to have any additional interior work done in my home.

The foreman, Juan Maldonado, and his painter Alfonso, did an outstanding job painting our garage floor. Preparation of the surface is critical and they were meticulous and thorough in doing so. Used quality paint, finished on time and clean up was superior.

The Carpenter/Painter assigned to my project, Mr. Bryan Pinto, did an outstanding job of replacing wood, caulking and painting the very large (6 windows) Bay Window on my house. Mr. Pinto arrived right on time -- actually a few minutes before the beginning time of the arrival period I had received from his company. Mr. Pinto was extremely professional and courteous. He is obviously well trained and very experienced in his line of work. He was meticulous and thorough is working on this challenging job (40 foot ladder needed in addition to other ladders and an all-day job in 95 degree heat plus humidity and heat index probably around 100). He did a far better job than others I have had work on this Bay Window over the 25 years I have owned the house. I was very pleased with the finished job. I was also impressed by the Williams Professional Painting company itself. Every staff member was efficient and responsive, from the person doing the estimating on-site, to the estimator for the contract, Ms. Justiniano. The job came in right on target at the estimate. It was obvious to me that this is a very well-run company with an excellent reputation, and that this company is apparently also well regarded by the people who work for it -- this says a lot about a company. If I have further work of this nature done on the house, Williams Professional Painting will be my first choice.

2 years ago Williams Professional Painting did an incredible job painting the outside of our home and replacing rotted trim. No detail was too small and no request was too big. Dave Williams and his team treated my home like it was theirs. This spring I had the Williams team back to paint two floors inside our home, make dry wall repairs and add crown molding to 6 rooms. Again, the attention to all aspects of the actual work and the service was top notch. Our home looks more refreshed than the day we bought it new. Why am I so happy? This family owned business gives you the time and attention of a small business and skills and experience from long time employees, not outside contractors. Look forward to having them back to paint and make repairs to the other floor of our home as we do some more freshening up of our home!

My ceiling and basement look fantastic. Carlos Serrano and Jorge Bigil did a great job, my house no longer looks like it is stuck in the 1960's. They arrived on time, cleaned up and put the furniture back. I have been hiring Williams Professional Painting for many years. Several years ago, they painted the outside of my home, and it still looks great. Recently, they painted my sheds and several rooms inside my home. I have never been disappointed with WPP.

Moving from out of state. Called them two weeks prior to closing of the sale and told them the house would be unoccupied for two weeks and they said they could provide a quote when house was available. I called them back and they weren't available to provide a quote on original date. Said it would be another week before they could go to the house. Disappointing, because from all the other reviews, it seemed like they do great work.

We had a great experience with Williams Professional Painting and we would definitely use them again in the future.My wife and I hired them to add some picture boxes beneath a chair rail in several rooms, paint several rooms (including a two-story living room with angled ceiling), and do some construction work. The construction work included closing off a loft room and making it into a bedroom. We were initially reluctant about hiring a painting company to do construction in the house, but the professionalism and competency of Rick (as well as reading company reviews online) gave us the confidence to move forward. When we mentioned the idea of the construction work, Rick didn’t flinch and brought up electrical work, permits, pot lights, and other things we hadn’t thought of initially. Some other painters we were considering looked a bit nervous and frankly were not confidence-inspiring when we talked about this relatively light – but easy to mess up – construction work. That was a showstopper for us and we didn’t want to hire several contractors to get the work done. Before any work began, Rick stopped by FOUR times and he brought Lisa (interior designer) and his contractor Gustavo over to discuss the specifics of the job. That thoroughness, attention to detail, and desire to get the job done right were much appreciated. Also, WPP took care of everything – permits, supplies, paint, electrical work, etc. Gustavo and his crew were here every day on time, with no gaps or no-shows, and they worked tirelessly to get the job done. They even cleaned up every single day before they left – including vacuuming – which was a nice touch. We had a few minor requests for them to address when they finished the job. Gustavo and his crew did not complain one bit. When we noticed a few other things days later after the crew had left, Jose came back quickly and fixed the items with the same pleasant, can-do attitude. We had a great experience with WPP. They weren’t necessarily the cheapest bid, but due to their professionalism and quality work (as well as one-stop-shop for the services we needed) we will hire them again in the future.

The painter (Dagoberto.D2) did an excellent job. The bedroom never looked so good. He was polite, efficient and skilled. He spotted and repaired nail holes and surface imperfections that were not particularly noticeable. And the result was beautiful. I would definitely recommend him

The job was performed and completed to perfection, as I expected. This is the third time I have engaged Williams Professional Painting. Dave Williams and his work crews are professionals able to perform any repair and any improvement they are requested to make. I have used the company for inside and outside work; each time the result exceeded my expectations. The latest engagement required more repair than anticipated because dry rot had caused damage to the rake board and second-floor windows that could only be discovered when Les, an outstanding foreman, had performed a close inspection. All the carpentry work was done by Juan, a very skilled craftsman. Juan also repaired my wooden deck that had become very unsafe and presented some challenges. After the work was completed, Les double checked all the double-hung windows to leave them operational. I could not be more pleased than I am with the outcome of the repair I requested. I highly recommend Williams Professional Painting and will use them again anytime the need arises. They may not be the least expensive but are definitely the best in quality and professionalism.

Dave was very responsive and got us a proposal right away. His quote was very reasonable. Our Foreman was Arturo and he did a fantastic job - was very thorough, professional and also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Would certainly recommend them and use them again if we need wallpaper removal and/or painting done.

We have contracted Williams Painting twice. Last year it was for extensive interior painting and some carpentry work. We were immensely impressed with their work performance, attention to detail, caulking, etc., the first time -- so, we decided to contract Williams Painting again this month to paint the exterior of our house and perform some needed exterior carpentry work. Again, they did not disappoint! We are convinced The White House has never received a better paint job and carpentry work! Walter and Daniel (the painters) and Rodrigo ( carpenter) all did a fantastic job. Their professionalism, attention to details, caulking, clean up after work, etc., plus their punctuality surpassed by far any other contractor we have hired before. We will definitely employ Williams again when needed and will not hesitate to recommend them to our neighbors and friends.

After obtaining a total of five different work proposals and estimates, I selected Williams Professional Painting for the job because I was immediately impressed both by the professionalism of the estimator, José, and the office manager, Amy, as well as the many favorable reviews the company had received online. The estimate arrived very promptly and was very reasonable. The work was done in two half-days by two highly-skilled,friendly, customer-focused professionals, Carlos and Arturo, who were exceptionally punctual, actually arriving several minutes ahead of the appointed time, then carefully prepared the work site, covering all furnishings and floors completely and meticulously masking door and window openings to ensure that they were totally protected. They then completed all the drywall work with the greatest of care to achieve a smooth, professionally-finished surface before applying several coats of perfectly-matched paint. When Carlos and Arturo were done, they went over all the window and door frames once again, carefully removing any traces of paint that were not intended to be there and then vacuuming all exposed surfaces and floors so that the premises were left spotless. I could not have been more pleased with the job done by these two accomplished professionals and will use Williams Professional Painting again in the future.
