"We had two projects we wanted done – deck and paver patio. We received onsite visits from four different companies, three of which submitted bids for the work. From the time that John K. walked on site, we knew we were working with a different type of company. He spent time to walk through property grading, drainage and helped us customize a deck and patio solution that fit our classic/modern profile and budget. Next he took us on site to a local stone distributor to ensure we were happy with our choices of stone and other materials to be used on the project. John worked with us throughout the design process making several changes along the way to ensure we understood what we were getting, and that his designs fit our needs. John made several suggestions that added additional touches to the project, and surprising did not add to the expense. The end design was more than we had imagined for the space. John introduced us to the project manager, Thomas, who in turn introduced the foremen for the stone work (Rocque) and deck build (Ozman). The deck work started first and Ozman and his team were relentless in their work. The deck was built in less than 2 weeks from ground breaking and would have been done sooner if not for some substantial storms. From excavation to finishing touches they moved quickly while providing high quality craftsmanship. When finished, they left our yard and more importantly, our brand new Trex deck in great condition. We LOVE it! Next John scheduled our patio install. The product arrived on site a couple days before the crew arrived. Once on site they worked quickly excavating the site and moving the excess material to a location of our choosing. The bulk of their time was spent on the fine details beneath the surface which will make a difference for years to come. Rocque and his team are artists with a stone saw. They cut precise circular patterns with ease, and made some tough design elements seem easy. They finished the patio off with matching poly sand and the end result made us want to use the space immediately. We are now about 3 months post closing and have recommended John and his team to several of our friends & neighbors. We feel like the deck and patio are what makes our back yard and have already gotten significant use out of them over this season. John and his team have stopped by to make sure we are still happy with the results and check in on any punch list items – which were few and far between. If you are in the market for a new deck or patio, don’t hesitate to call these guys. They were the best combination of craftsmanship and price we could find, and delivered beyond our expectations. "If I could give this company a 6 out of 5 stars I would! They did a fantastic job overhauling my mother's deck, back patio, fencing, and front portico. All of the work was absolutely essential for safety and structural reasons, and I'm so glad I chose OSSA to do the work. My mother has Alzheimer's, which presented additional issues, but the entire crew was incredibly kind, respectful, and understanding of the unique challenges they faced. They were responsive and kept me aware of everything regarding the job along the way. My mother is so pleased, and I have the peace of mind that all of her outdoor space is safe, beautiful, and accessible. I will be hiring OSSA to do some work in my own home, as I look to make necessary improvements in the future. I've told everyone I know how how wonderful they are. 6 out of 5 stars!"

"I would recommend the Acclaim crew in a heartbeat for high value work from trustworthy, kind people. They did an absolutely fabulous job on our deck, at a fair price. The crew are real craftsmen with a proactive eye for detail and aesthetics. They had to deal with significant challenges along the way... and they got through it all, cheerfully and collaboratively despite one of the most challenging jobsites I am sure they have ever had to deal with. Toney and Rey were great partners to us, helping us make decisions and navigate these challenges, and working flexibly with us when we realized we needed to change the plan a bit. Any issues we spotted were quickly addressed. They went above and beyond on several occasions, adding thoughtful small upgrades and solutions for long term maintenance. They were careful to leave us happy and proud of our new deck and have been responsive with a few small warranty fixes too. I am proud of the deck and proud of them for their excellent work."

"I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."

The owner, Ricardo Anturiano, and the work crew- led by Ronald — were professional, courteous, and hard working. Ricardo was frequently on site and available to answer questions in person, by phone or text. We interviewed 4 different builders in our area before ultimately choosing DBI for several reasons: First, DBI was able to provide the TimberTech composite boards and railings we preferred; second, they offered the most reasonable pricing for our project; and third, we were impressed with their level of expertise and decades of experience. "Without a doubt, Deck & Fences gets 5 Stars. AJ and his team said they would be at the house at 8:30 a.m. By 8:40 they were offloading material and staging it in the backyard. It was very evident from the start that each member of his team knew their assignments and were well versed in what had to be done. AJ was on sight the entire day working side by side with the other three. His entire team are professional, polite, and willing to chat when the opportunity would allow. They did the entire 10’x12’ deck in one day and there were no issues with their craftmanship. The reason we selected Deck and Fences was from a referral and had seen their work before, and was impressed with the quality. AJ did not pressure us into a sale when he came out for an estimate. He asked what we envisioned and provide sound recommendations with multiple designs/color options.
