Sam is great to work with. I had the den carpet taken up and replaced with tile that looked like wood. It came out beautifully. Sam was instrumental with designs ideas on materials to use. Job was completed meticulously in a timely manner. Clean up was great. The estimate for the project was on target. I canâ t say enough good things about Sam and his company. He really listens to his customer and what their vision is for the completed project. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

We used Samâ s Home Improvement to create our backsplash. He had a good price, and we were very impressed with his subcontractor, Luis Quispe, who actually did the tile work. He understood our plans, gave some suggestions, and was flexible with changes. The end result is fabulous.

I hired Sam to replace the wooden posts and concrete footers supporting my deck and sun room. The job required placing temporary supports under the structures, pouring new concrete footers that came above the dirt line, and installing new wooden posts. I found Sam to be straightforward and honest in explaining what the job technically required, the costs of the work, and what the county would require for permitting. In addition, I encountered unresolved permit issues from the previous homeowner. These issues were unrelated to Sam, but the county refused to issue a permit and this delayed the work. Sam was very patient as I resolved those issues with the county. He even gave me advice on what I could expect from the county as I fixed the issues. Once Sam and his team started work, he made sure I understood the work as they went along. He answered any questions that I had; he explained problems his team found and how they would resolve them to adhere close to the estimate and abide by regulations. In short, Sam is a true professional and I enjoyed working with him. Iâ m very happy with the work his team completed and now I have confidence that my sun room and deck are properly supported for years to come.

Sam came to do an estimate for my bathroom, he kept in communication with me regarding the arrival time and was true to our committed time. He was very detailed about the job I needed to have completed and kept to his estimate. He arrived on time the day of the job and completed it within the window time frame. I love the work he did and my bathroom looks beautiful! I have already discussed future projects with him.

We used Sam to fully remodel our master bathroom and do some cosmetic work in our guest bathroom. We took down walls and started completely from scratch. Sam did all of the demolition, prep work, plumbing, electrical and installed some very intricate marble mosaic tile, for us on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower. Sam is punctual, responsive and extremely knowledgable about his craft. His men do incredible work when it comes to the finishes and he keeps a very clean workspace. All along the process Sam was present at the job and addressed any minor issues we had along the way immediately. You will not find any better bang for your buck in this area. I highly recommend him and we just hired him again to do even more work in our home.

The grout work was "art" perfect for the porcelain tile laid on the concrete floor. They removed the old tile, spread tile-thinset mortor, then laid out the tile beautifully. They came back the next day to grout the tile, and after the weekend spread the dealer. My friends love the look!

Sam and his folks did a great job remodeling my second full bathroom. He was always on time and kept everything very clean. His work is beautiful. He was done on time and within the price that he quoted. I would hire him again for any future projects.

Awesome awesome work! I couldn't select it but Sam Home Improvement did an entire bathroom remodel. Sam did a fabulous job. From demolition to tile install to marble bull-nosing and finally free standing tub install.....perfection. We are so happy with our bathroom. It's beautiful! We are so happy and will use Sam Home Improvement again.

The best contractor we have had in 15 years of living here! Our 53yr old house is in the Fort Hunt / Waynewood area and we have had a lot of renovations done. Sam took care to ensure this project was done right. We had the main bathroom tub replaced, walls retiled and faucets installed. This was a 2nd update to our bathroom and we wanted to keep the tile floor and sink. Sam was able to install the new tub while protecting the floor tile not being replaced. All the work was done within the time & price promised and it looks great! We have/will recommend him to anyone needing quality home repairs done - at a very fair price. We wish we had found him for earlier projects and will absolutely hire him again!!

We hired Sam for dry wall repair after a pipe burst and water valve replacement. Since we had him there he also replaced a shower drain and did our kitchen backsplash. He was professional and always on time. Prices are very fair. He did great work on all projects. Will definitely use him again.

TL;DR: WOW! We had an unfinished utility area, that we wanted finished, mostly around the washer and dryer. We wound up having it split into a nice laundry area and a less-nice furnace area, with the 50 year old tile replaced with new. When Sam came over to do the initial estimate for our small job, he clearly knew what he was talking about. He corrected mistakes some prior contractors tried to talk us into, made additional suggestions (not just to get more work, a lot of it was some to save us money or make the work more effective at the same price), and was very clear about what would be done, when, for how much, and how long it would take. He proposed to do a much more thorough job, with some great additions, for a good bit less, than either of the two other companies we talked to. The excellent communication continued throughout the project; I work from home, and he would always tell me when he was going to turn off electricity or water, and when he was going to leave or return. He was very flexible about any further little changes or additions (suggesting a few more along the way, mostly tossed in for free). They just finished today, and the work looks wonderful. They even cleaned up after themselves pretty well; of course some dust leaked out, but they vacuumed up most of it in the general area. As far as I know they were even good about not letting our cats into the utility area. :-) The wife and I are impressed with the work Sam has done, and overjoyed with the value received. We have a few more little projects we will certainly be contacting them about!
