Andreas and his team did a wonderful job installing a brick paver walkway at my house. He quickly responded to my request for a quote, and unlike the other contractors who responded, actually listened as I described what I wanted accomplished and did not try to "upsell" me on things I did not want as he understood my project needs. He came back with an extremely reasonable price quote and quickly executed the work. The walkway looks wonderful, and I will definitely keep Andreas and the Metropolitan Paint and Home Improvement team in mind for my future home improvement needs!

Hired Metropolitan for a porch rail repair, they came out same day I called and provided estimate and followed up with a detailed written estimate including the quality of materials and their contractor license number. Their estimate was competitive with others I received for the job. I hired them because of their customer service. They arrived on time and completed job as promised. When I asked for one small fix it was done immediately. I will definitely be using them for future home repairs at my Alexandria , VA home.

He delivered more than what he promised: The cost to value was the most reasonable to begin with. On top he did a repairs a few boards more than what was originally agreed upon, at no extra charge, because he didn’t want to deliver a suboptimal result. He had attention to details and was honestly providing alternatives, not focusing on selling the most expensive option.

I reached out to 5 different companies to replace a deck support beam to my home. Andreas was the only 1 out of the 5 companies to actually show up at my home to do an estimate and take a look at the deck. The following week his crew came over and replaced it in a matter of hours. I’m very happy with the quick work and turn around on getting the beam replaced. I will definitely hire this company again if I need any other work.

Andreas owns the company and responded to my request. I have a raised paver walk way that runs on one side of my house from the front to the back. At the back it drops off on to a paver patio. The whole thing was sinking, collapsing and falling apart. Metropolitan Pant and Home Improvement, (Andreas) responded right away with a phone call and was the first to respond. He came over that day and gave me a quote on the spot. He was very nice and personable and very easy to work with. I received quotes from several other companies and his quote was fair and also the lowest. They began the work the next day, and came back every day until it was complete, which was only several days. Andreas was also on site to direct his crew to make sure they understood what the work was. The work was done perfectly. All the pavers on the side yard walkway down to the back patio were power washed along with the patio pavers. About 20% of the pavers had to be remove and crushed stone added underneath to level the walkway and parts of the patio. Then the pavers were placed back, leveled and packed tightly together. Finally, they used polymeric sand to fill and seal the seams between the pavers and then applied sealer on all the pavers on the walkway and the whole patio. The work was perfect and completed very quickly. He also did more than was asked and quoted, which was power washing ALL of my hardscape including two areas of hardscape in the front yard where flowers and shrubs were planted, along with my whole driveway and walkway up to my front door including the front stoop, without being asked or adjusting the quote. I liked Andreas and his work so much that I have just hired him and his crew to redo our kitchen including replacing the floor, resurfacing and painting the cabinets and install a marble tile backsplash. And this job was VERY reasonably priced, too. I strongly recommend Andreas and Metropolitan Paint and Home Improvement. They can do many types of projects, and they can be trusted to do a great job and complete the project quickly for a very reasonable price.

Metropolitan took-up and reset brickwork on a patio below my deck and replaced framing on a house doorway on the deck. Work was done well and clean-up was excellent!

They painted our interior and exterior fixing water damage and wood rot. We are very happy with the work. Andreas was so easy to work with.

The company went above and beyond to accommodate our schedules, and did a great job painting our entire house . They also fixed small problems along the way, such as a broken cabinet door and floor mending. . It looks beautiful and clean. They were on time, professional, and very accommodating. Great job! There was a long delay in getting service, due to weather and the sudden swell of customers. The company was many weeks late in getting to us, and so we weren't home when they repaired and stained our deck: and they did a marvelous, well-considered job. Would recommend. Good companies are in demand.

Andreas was great to work with. We had our bathroom tub surround retiled. t required moving of a light switch and installing new lights. He was clear with the scope of his work and what he would provide, and what we needed to provide. He also came daily to check on things. The worker who did the tile work took his time, which I appreciate instead of rushing through the tile work.. he even stayed late to complete a section. He didnâ  t speak much of any English so communication was a little hard. But my husband who was working from home was able to text with Andreas who could communicated with the worker or he used a translator app. The project took 7 days to complete and it came out beautifully.
