"The mortar and bricks were all crumbly and a fire hazard so everything had to be replaced. Plus they had to build a wall where the previous owners had left it open. They did a beautiful job and there was minimal mess from the job. They laid down drop cloths and so on appropriately. Then after they were done they cleaned up the area totally.
I had them do work for me before. They resurfaced my chimney and built some brick steps for me. Same high quality service and work.

"I called Jerry Anderson, the owner of this company, yesterday morning and told him about my roof leaking with the tropical storm and
torrential rains over the weekend.  He came out in a few hours (same day!), did an inspection, and took photos with his smart phone to show me the problems.  He carefully explained exactly what needed to be done and gave me a quote with a 3 year written "no leak" guarantee.
The very next day (today!) Jerry came back with his roofers while I was at work and fixed my roof. He had to replace a good many shingles, seal several places around the various vents and where the garage connects to the house, and cut some tree limbs back so they would not touch the roof.  He also had to actually re-nail and seal the vent that runs down the length of the peak of the roof.  You could see all the nails!  The wind is obviously NOT my roof's friend.
He even called when all was finished and accepted my credit card number over the phone.  Done!  ...and it looks like rain again, so I am very glad he was able to do the work so fast!  I expect no more leaks!

UPDATE:  Jerry Anderson is as good as his word.  I contacted him the afternoon of 10/6/2015 to let him know that my roof leaked around my hot water heater vent and I heard dripping in one other spot during the flood over the weekend.  He arrived at my house just before dark...SAME DAY...and made the repair.  No charge!  BEST ROOFER EVER!  HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 

UPDATE: Roof is leaking again.  I have a three year written "NO LEAK" guarantee from this company.  No reply when I contact them this time. Contacted multiple times since March 27, 2016.

This leak is the "dripping in one other spot" (see above) that I heard during the great flood a few months ago.  It was supposed to have been fixed, but is now dripping with just a light rain.

UPDATE: Jerry Anderson sent two of his sons over yesterday, April 4, 2016 between Noon and 1:00 PM, to fix my roof.  He and his company are back in my good graces!  Let's hope it's fixed for good this time.  

His sons said he has been out of town, so I guess he just got all my messages.

Following the inspection of the fireplace,in the course of the review we discovered a valve that could be replaced to provide for a more efficient start-up of the fireplace. "A large tree fell on my home during storm & I hired another contractor to complete repairs which included replacing 9-12 rafters/sheathing/shingles, re-building small front porch & adding 3 windows to sunroom. Original contractor installed the windows & did a lot of work on the roof but were very slow & work was sub-par.....they also had issues getting project permitted & I finally had to let them go. I was in a real bind to get repairs completed as I was in the middle of re-financing house when the storm hit. I contacted Commonwealth & they were able to come out & assess what needed to be done. They got the permits right away & got started. Most of the previous work had to be re-done....they removed the windows & added headers & proper support & re-installed, repaired roof & re-built front porch. All work was done professionally & in a timely manner. Also installed interior trim (baseboards/windowsills/frame) in sunroom, which I requested at the last minute, so house would be ready for appraisal. They did a nice job matching the original trim on older home. Would definitely hire again."
