"Highly recommend! Prompt, professional and a true animal lover. Darian removed a raccoon and her 4 kits from our garage. This was a good opportunity to seal the vents under our house and Darian did that as well. Good website. Gives notification via text when arriving etc. very professional and a true animal lover. "They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"The results of the work performed is good overall and my wife and I are pleased and told the owner of the company so.  I even committed to writing a postive review on Angies list based on the work.  Unfortunately things turned for the bad at the end of the job based on committments not kept and work not completed.
The reason for the overall grade of an "F" isn't because of the work they actually completed, it is a result of the work they did not complete and the unfortunate severe lack of professionalism that followed.  There were two tasks that needed to be completed that were never done.
1)  Ceiling fan was broken during the install of the planking on the ceiling (fan blades broken off and light fixture broken)
The owner offered to buy new fan blades to replace the broken ones but since the light fixture was busted as well, the whole unit needed to be replaced.  I found an exact replacement at Lowes and said he could buy it and install it, or I would buy and install and he could just reimburse me for the cost of the fan at $90.00.  He insisted he would take care of it himself and it was not necessary for me to do so but he never did.
2)  Installation of a dimmer switch in the master bedroom was part of the contract and charged at $75.00 for the switch and install. The switch was never purchased or installed though I had already paid the contract in full.  I reminded him several times via phone and email that this work still needed to be completed and he committed to doing it but never did.
Again I offered to just pick up the switch and install it myself and asked that he simply reimburse me the $75.00 I had already paid him.
After two months of waiting for these items to be completed I got tired of waiting so I bought the fan for $90.00 bucks and the switch for $20.00 at Lowes and installed both myself.  I asked the owner to simply pay for the fan and refund me for the $75.00 I had already paid him for the switch and he agreed (via email and phone conversation) and said he had a check made out already and would drop it off at my house.  It is now 5 months later and I still don't have the check.
Bottom line for me is that he didn't complete the work he was paid for, didn't follow through on the committments to come and complete the work later and then lied about sending me a check to reimbursement me for the costs I incurred to fix and finish the job for him.
May 1, 2015 - After posting this review I received a message from David confirming he will send the check.  The check in the amount requested has been received and as promised I am updating this review."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Deer rely on scent to tell them what’s safe and unsafe, so effective deer repellents have to be pungent. Make your own natural repellent by combining a beaten egg, one tablespoon of cooking oil, one tablespoon of dish soap, and a half cup of milk. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray around your garden, avoiding anything you will want to eat later. This stinky repellent will ward off any deer that want to make your produce their next meal. But keep in mind that if your windows are nearby, the scent may waft over.

It can be difficult to know what type of animal is in your attic until you see it. But several clues can help you narrow down the suspects:

  • Sounds: Smaller animals like rats and mice make scurrying and tapping/gnawing sounds. Larger animals like raccoons and opossums make louder clambering noises. Also, note when animals are noisy: Squirrels are active during the day, while rats are busiest at night.

  • Droppings: Rats and mice leave small, rice-shaped droppings (the rat’s version is significantly larger). Bigger droppings belong to larger critters like raccoons. As long as you’re not squeamish, an image search can help you identify what you’re seeing in your attic.

When in doubt, take photos of damage or other evidence and show them to an experienced pest control pro.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

As a general rule, if you hear an animal in your attic, don’t assume it will stay there. Animals are drawn to warmth and food sources, which could lead them to other parts of your house. In particular, it’s likely that small pests such as rats and mice that only need tiny gaps to squeeze through will end up in your walls and ductwork. Larger animals like raccoons may be limited to an enclosed attic.

Like many animals, gophers are bothered by strong scents. Peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil,  and coffee grounds can be used as deterrents against these pests. Similarly, you can try planting lavender, rosemary, sage, geraniums, or pine trees, as these plants all have strong smells that can ward away gophers. While it may be less pleasant to work with, coyote urine scares gophers by tricking the pests into thinking your yard is a predator hot spot.
