"Great company. I looked into other Pest Control Companies, had 2 others come to my home. Wow what a difference in pricing and professionalism. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A-ONE. Thank you for taking care of our home! Very smooth from the first inspection to the end of the job."

"The inspection was scheduled promptly, the inspector did a careful and thorough job. He provided a somewhat dire assessment on the ant issues (I knew that we had a problem), provided a full suite of things which the company could tend to to extend the life of the interior wood structure and exclude pests for the longer term. Their use of all natural chemical control was a big plus. We signed a contract and the technician came a few days later. Unfortunately, the birds were "in" on that cool and rainy day so we decided to leave them to his second visit to complete the treatments/exclusion. The technician was polite, tidy, and willing to answer questions. On the second treatment day, the birds were out and the exclusion process was completed. They guarantee the work done for a year with the promise of return to address any issues. It is too early to assess the longer term run at this point but so far, so good."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

In Eugene, signs like live insects, rodent droppings, gnawed materials, or pest odors indicate you need pest control or termite control. Structural issues such as water stains, warped wood without visible insect damage, or unexplained cracks may require home repairs instead. If you notice both pests and moisture, consider addressing both pest control and underlying repairs for effective, long-term results.

Helpful?

In Eugene, neglecting gutter cleaning, overwatering indoor plants, or failing to ventilate damp areas can attract moisture pests and reduce the effectiveness of pest control treatments. Leaving pet food out, mismanaging compost, and not sealing food waste invite rodents and ants. Regularly inspecting for cracks and maintaining your roof helps ensure pest control measures last and prevent future infestations.

Helpful?

Eugene homeowners should consider proximity to the Willamette River, which increases mosquito and moisture pest risks, and dense tree coverage that attracts carpenter ants and squirrels. Older homes often have more entry points for pests, while composting and recycling habits can draw rodents if not managed properly. Eco-friendly pest solutions and pet-safe treatments are especially valued in this environmentally conscious, pet-friendly community.

Helpful?

In Eugene, wet winters and high humidity create ideal conditions for moisture pests like termites, silverfish, and fungus gnats, while dry summers increase ant and wasp activity. The region’s mild winters allow rodents and insects to survive year-round, making ongoing pest control and rodent prevention essential. Homeowners should adapt pest management strategies seasonally to address these shifting pest pressures.

Helpful?

In Eugene’s damp climate, even minor signs like wood shavings from carpenter ants, a few mouse droppings, or a single termite swarmer can signal potential for bigger problems. Persistent silverfish or fungus gnats often point to hidden moisture issues. Early ant trails, wasp nests near eaves, or rodents in attics should prompt immediate pest control to prevent costly structural repairs down the line.
