"We called several HVAC companies for our ductless mini split, but Aviator was the only one that responded quickly. They fixed the issue the next day and saved us from replacing the whole system. Excellent service!"
"Excellent service. Jace not only helped me with this but also with other options to consider in the future one it is time to replace our existing forced air furnace. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. And the cost was lower than other HVAC companies quoted us for the same equipment. Will definitely use them again for any future HVAC needs."
"Extremely well. The house was a rental and the previous tenants had a Golden Retriever dog (long hair). The ducts were clogged with dog hair. The crew arrived on time and went right to work vacuuming every duct and the HVAC unit."
"Super friendly, super honest with a CAN DO attitude. They certainly went the extra mile with us. We had a difficult install scenario but Tom put the extra time and effort into planning out what needed to be done to get it right. All done in 1 day. We are beyond satisfied! I definitely would recommend Glacier HVAC. Great service!"
"Friendly, knowledgeable, communicative, honest, down-to-earth, business owner. Felt very comfortable trusting Chase with my HVAC needs. Would highly recommend!"
"Did a good job for almost everything. But thermostat was not installed to my satisfaction. It is hanging from wall a little. The cost for hvac was about what everyone else was asking."
"Ben Fish showed up right on time, went up to my attic space for a visual inspection (something I should have done a long time ago but didn't) and measured the depth of insulation, appliance efficiency, energy loss from floor/walls/windows, and put it on a nice, easy-to-read spreadsheet, as well as throroughly explained everything. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything, as there had been in the past with HVAC repairmen. One reason I wanted this audit was for the impartial 3rd party feedback, which is exactly what I got. "
"Very pleasant experience. Punctual and professional. It would have been helpful to know the amount of noise that putting in a new furnace causes, I would have rescheduled some of my business activities, but the job was done well. Duct work was brought up to code and passed inspection. However at my home, there was an issue passing the inspection. They did not vent the air conditioner adequately. When we failed the inspection, they came out on that very day and corrected the problem. There was/is the inconvenience of a second inspection."
"It was really a great experience from the very beginning. I found them online, on an advertisement on my phone. I clicked on the ad, which led me to their website. I filled out the contact form and within 2 hours someone called me to make an appt. They explained over the phone that it would be an "arrival window" of 3 hours, and I was expecting something like that. They called this morning to let me know they were on their way, which I thought was very nice. The technician, Dave, arrived at the very beginning of their "arrival window", which was also nice. The technician arrived in a nice, professionally lettered company van, which I appreciate. You'd be surprised how many companies DON'T do that. Dave was in a nice uniform, seemed clean-cut and pleasant. I showed the him around to where my furnace, thermostat and A/C unit were and left him to do his thing. All I had requested of them was a tune-up and just a once-over on both the furnace and the A/C unit. Just some preventative maintenance, so that we wouldn't have any problems [that could have been prevented] this winter with the furnace or next spring when we went to turn on the A/C unit. He did find some things that needed replaced and cleaned out with our A/C unit and said he was surprised to hear it was still working well. It would have probably failed next season if we hadn't have had him out to fix these problems. There wasn't much wrong with our furnace, but I was glad he checked it out. He replaced our screens in our furnace. That was cool that this was included as part of the service call. He also stayed and talked with me for 5-10 minutes about the age of my furnace, what to keep an eye out for, and how much longer I should expect it to last. That was very nice and I could tell he really knew his business well, which added to my confidence in this company. The service took about 90 minutes and I felt the price they charged was very fair. It was probably more than some companies charge, but I would rather have a really professional outfit for a little more money than save money and have a less professional company. So to me, the rate I paid was a good value. I was just impressed all the way around with this company and with Dave. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC work. They are a professional outfit, all the way down the line. "
"Excellent service! Fast, honest, knowledgeable, and affordable. They were quick and efficient with my HVAC needs and treated my home with respect. Highly recommend!"
Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts
Most experts recommend getting three to five HVAC quotes from licensed, insured, reputable local heating and cooling companies. Getting multiple detailed HVAC quotes (but not too many) lets you compare the equipment, services, and prices of several contractors without being overwhelmed by options. It can also let you see if one contractor’s prices are much higher or lower than the others and give you a chance to ask for clarification. That way, you can weed out any contractors who aren’t providing quality services or materials and find the company that best meets your budget, quality requirements, and long-term goals.
As mentioned above, not all HVAC Schrader valves are necessarily the same. While the valve core and pin or spring size on Schrader valves used for HVAC are generally similar, the valves are not all universal and interchangeable. The size of Schrader valves varies depending on whether it's used in an air conditioner, bicycle tire, or motor vehicle tire.
Unfortunately, a freon leak will persist even when your AC unit is off. The freon in the AC unit is under pressure no matter the status of the system, so it will continue to drip through the leak even when you shut off the entire unit. It will continue to leak freon until it’s completely empty.
Both evaporator coils and condenser coils are recyclable and contain valuable, sellable metals such as copper and aluminum. Not only is it more earth-friendly to take them to a local metal recycling facility, but you can also trade them in for cash. Also, once the coils are removed from the system, they won’t have any traces of refrigerant, so you won’t have to arrange for recycling Freon or R-410A unless you’re disposing of the entire AC system.
Dry mode positively impacts indoor air quality by reducing excess moisture, which stops the growth of mold and mildew. By maintaining optimal humidity levels, dry mode creates a less hospitable environment for allergens and airborne pathogens, improving overall air quality. However, it's essential to ensure proper ventilation to prevent stale air accumulation.
