They sent someone in an hour and some weird complicated stuff the prior owner had done for no apparent reason was fixed in an hour. I was very happy and impressed. I now have a safe, comfortable home.

We hired Earthwise Heating & Cooling to replace our gas hot water heater. Steve was so easy to work with and I was offered an appointment the very next day. His guys came out and did the complete job in only a couple of hours using all-new high-quality components at a very fair price. The job could not have gone smoother, even the cleanup was perfect. Checked out his recommended brand (AO Smith GCG-50 Proline Commercial Natural Gas unit) which had great reviews Accepted his offer and his crew showed up around 12 noon – just like he promised Removed old water heater, installed new water heater with new expansion tank Since I was at work, took the time to explain it to my wife, plus wrote up a detailed work summary Within 1 hour, we had warm enough hot water for a shower Very professional installation, cleaned up everything and left all documentation Plus the price was very reasonable and a few hundred less than the big orange box people If only every contractor was as professional and communicative and timely as Steve’s company Highly recommend – don’t look any further – give Steve a call!

These guys were on top of things! I looked on Angie’s List for someone to fix/replace our hot water heater after finding a river in our garage early in the morning. I didn’t even realize I had submitted my info for help but as soon as they opened at 8am my phone rang, owner Steve to the rescue. The pilot ignition in our furnace is not working. We called Earthwise, knowing that, due to weather conditions, a technician may not be available to come out immediately. We thought we would just make an appointment for the near future, but Steve offered two portable heaters to tide us over until a technician can come out. Gary dropped them off at our home! We are so grateful for that. Knowing there are people like Steve and Gary in the world confirms my belief in the true goodness of people, especially during these hard times.

Our 18 year old gas furnace stopped working right before Christmas. Morgan did the assessment and talked me through the multiple parts to the needed repair. He showed me the damage to the unit and explained the cost of repair vs replacement. I got a second opinion and while waiting to get another contractor out, Steve lent us five space heaters so we would not freeze. The second bid came in much higher. Steve gave us time to do the research on the type of unit we wanted and scheduled quickly. The job was done in one day.

I was desperate to get help with a leaking hot water heater. The owner came to my home to access the situation and promised a new installed hot water heater the same day. The workers knew what they were doing, polite and wonderful to work with. I would use them again without a doubt

The AC on my heat pump would not come on. 30 minutes later it "self healed" and started working (this was on a Sunday in 98 degree heat). Steve called me back and recommended an inspection. This seem fair as it is a old unit. They arrived on time, very professional and easy to work with. Thomas checked out my system and did not find any issues but did recommend we put in a p-trap for the condensation drain. Very happy with the work. I will call them again.

Earthwise called back moments after I submitted a request for a quote. They were upfront about the cost ($99 service/inspection) and scheduled a tech to come out next day. Our system needed some work and they got it done quickly, sticking to the quoted price (even though it was a little more work than expected). Definitely recommend them.

Water heater was 10 years old and we decided to replace for energy and preventive reasons. Our situation was a bit unusual as our existing water heater was a 75 gallon installed in a garage closet built for a 50 gallon unit. Several plumbers declined the opportunity because of the tight conditions. Earthwise/Steve responded to a bid request quickly and he agreed they would be able to handle. Work was scheduled and completed less than a week later. Work crew of 2 was professional and handled the removal and installation efficiently. Pricing was competitive and came with a one year installation warranty. There might have been some cheaper alternatives, but even so, we would highly recommend Earthwise.

Amazing customer service! We could not be more impressed with Earthwise Heating and Cooling. Steven Matiaco, the owner, is an honest and hardworking person who really cares about his customers and goes the extra mile to make sure that the job is done right and for a good price. We own a 4-plex in Beaverton that we discovered had problems with the heating system. We had just had a really bad experience with another contractor, and we were in a particularly tough situation so we were very anxious. Steven worked extra hard to find creative solutions to our issues to help us save money and was very good at communicating clearly throughout the whole project. The room our heating system was located in was not up to code, and the system had major problems with it. Steven found ways to install the new furnaces so that we could bring everything up to code, but also save money. When he found that he could actually do something for less than he’d originally quoted us, he let us know and sent us a new contract with the lower price. He didn’t have to do that. He could have just kept the difference for himself, but Steven isn’t that type of person. He’s honest, thorough, and hard working. We have been so impressed with his willingness to go out of his way to help his customers. Over and over again, he has been there when we needed him for our multiplex. We could not be happier with the work Earthwise has done for us.

Above beyond expectations, if I could give a A++, I would. Steve is the owner and he personally was responsive and respectful of my situation (my parents are retired and handicap and not knowledge on home repair/basic maintenance, their furnace basically went out and it has been cold for over 1+ week for them). This is how it went and why he went above and beyond. Thur 10/31 3pm - Had first inspection (different company as my parents did not go with any reviews) quote --> $1K to [fix motor] or --> $4k, person spent probably 30 minutes looking at things. Thur 10/31 evening - Within 30 seconds of submitting my Angie's list request, received a call from Steve the owner about my needs. --> Within 2 hours or so, they brought over 2 portable heaters for my parents so they would not be without heat (my parents were VERY grateful). --> Offer to bring someone out that evening, but we decided to go with a 11/01 Thursday appointment. 11/01 Thursday - Person arrived at 8:30am, spent a substantial more time diagnosing the real issue, a circuit board and NOT the motor. Also the furnace is good for another 11+ years they said. Summary: --> This was why I got a 2nd quote, also if I would have went with the first quote, they would have replaced the motor ($1k) but not fixed the problem, also another $500 to do the real repairs. They also showed my dad how to replace a certain filter (my dad is old and doesn't know much about repair), he was super excited they did that. So this saved me probably $1k, if we would have went with the first company for $1k motor and then another $500 for the real issue, the burnt out circuit board. PROS: +Extremely thoughtful and went above and beyond to help my parents. +Thorough and explained things clearly for us to understand. +Great customer service and follow up. CONS: --> No cons
