"Had a clogged drain backflowing into both showers. I have an older home that is notoriously hard to work on. Cameron had no problems. The whole experience was great. I would definitely recommend Georgeâ s Drains to anyone."

Customers say: Quality work

"We have used Well's before for a clogged drain inside the house that was deeper than the trap point of the drain. They took care of our issue then, so when I noticed our sump pump drain was apparently clogged somewhere between the rear of my house and the street I knew who to call. I spoke to Taylor, explained the problem, and he said, "No problem, I'll be out to fix it." I was out of town at the time, and later that day when asking for an update from my wife she simply said, "They came out, and they fixed it." Thankfully I didn't have to rip-out my planting beds, or my front lawn, to diagnose and fix the issue. Considering what the cost and time would be for that, Well's saved me big time! Thanks again guys!!! I've already recommended you to others in my area.
Once again, they said they would fix it, and they did. Isn't that what everyone should want from a hired contractor?

Customers say: Super punctual

"I called Jack Woods Plumbing, and they had a cancellation for the afternoon, so were able to fit me in. The plumber called to tell me that he was on his way, and soon after he arrived, the sink was unclogged, the drain in the bathtub was adjusted so that it drained more quickly, and the plumbing under two more sinks was inspected to see if there were any leaks. The plumber was polite and professional, and without our asking, he gave us a senior discount."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your plumber’s professional licenses before hiring.

Applying drain cleaner is a common DIY solution to clogged drains, but it can be extremely harmful to your pipes and lead to corrosion and leaks. It is almost always better to try snaking a clog than using a drain cleaner, but the best solution is to hire a professional plumber. They can locate the clog and gauge the severity using a camera system and then decide if using a plumber’s snake, auger, or drain cleaner is the best option to remove the clog and limit damage to your plumbing system.

You may have a clogged gutter. Downspouts can also clog if your gutter collects too much debris. Hire a professional gutter cleaner, and if you still have problems, install a gutter guard (which prevents debris from entering your gutter system) and a downspout extension (which helps drain water further away from your foundation, so it doesn't pool near your house). Follow these tips to keep your gutter downspouts clean.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.
