Amanda Plumbing is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I had them out over the weekend for a leak that was going into my ceiling. It turns out that it was from our upstairs bathroom toilet (which we were going to replace anyways) The plumber Tyler was super kind and helpful. He fixed our leak and installed the new toilet that I had on my hubby's to do list. I was also surprised about how reasonable their weekend rates were and how fast Tyler got out to us. Thank you again. We will defiantly be calling you back when we have a tankless water heater put in!!!

Misleading pricing. They say it's $145 to come out and for the first hour of work. Although if you need any work done they charge you additional regardless if it takes longer than 1 hour. For example, I had them come out to fix 2 toilet flaps which took them 15 minutes. There was also a faucet that needed to be repaired. They told me it would be an additional $170 to get the faucet repaired regardless of how long it took them even if they would be able to repair it in the hour.

"Hi [Member Name Removed], I am so sorry if our pricing structure was poorly communicated. We take pride in being upfront and transparent regarding pricing so the last thing I like to hear is you felt misled in any way. It is important to explain that this is incorrect. When we dispatch out for service, the first hour of labor is included in the service call. We do not charge additional until after the first hour, at a prorated charge per 15 minutes as needed. Our records show you were charged a service call, but in that hour we were able to repair the two toilets and address the leaky faucet. We did not charge additional on top of the service call to do this. Once we determined the faucet would need replaced, it was explained that would be a set price to return once a new one was provided. However, we had already been on site 50 minutes. I understand you were not on site, and we were servicing a tenant of yours. Perhaps he misrepresented the amount of time we were on site, and that was cause for confusion. I am always willing to work with a customer and discuss what you feel would be fair if you do decide to have us return for the kitchen faucet replacement.. Great. There was no access to the shutoff valve inside the house. But they were able to cut the drywall and replace the unit with the same faucet which made the project simpler. And they were able to put in a ceiling access panel at a reasonable price so I didn’t have to do it myself.

They came out quickly and got the job done. I needed a new piece for the drain. They contacted Kohler for me to be sure the correct thing was ordered. The price was better than I'd paid plumbers who have come our previously.

From the moment I called to completion, I felt I was dealing with good folks who walked in my shoes. It wasn't inexpensive but their rates seemed in the range for this service in my area. They gave me a clear estimate. the plumber showed up on time and did an efficient job and cleaned up and left the area in very clean shape. Very pleased and will surely use again and refer to others.

The water company said that the entire meter well needed to be dug up and replaced to repair the leak. Several estimates for that were $2000-$4000. Amanda Plumbing found out from the water company that they could just replace the pipes in the meter well without excavation. However, in the end, the entire problem was resolved by just replacing a couple of gaskets. As President of the HOA, I was extremely happy with their solution and will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs.

Water heater replacement went fine, except they didn't feel they could get the old tank out without making a mess. Decided to let it dry out for a while before coming back to take it away - though they warned they'd charge for another service call. Before leaving they measured my house water pressure, said it was too high, and recommended installing a pressure regulating valve. That seems a little bit like an up-sell scam to me, but I went along with it. I had them back to remove the old water heater, install the recommended valve, fix a leaky faucet, and clear a clogged drain. That all went fine except for a problem with the faucet. They came back for a follow-up visit and made that right at no extra charge. Everyone I had contact with was unfailingly polite, friendly, and professional.

Tyler showed up on time, and worked efficiently & neatly. The new disposal is slightly larger than the old one, so undersink pipes had to be adjusted a bit. Project took a bit less than the estimated time quote. Since the installation (a week ago) all as worked OK without issues.

The work went very well. The estimator showed up on time, gave me a written estimate, and scheduled the job for about one week later. The two-man crew called when they finished a job and were on their way. They were professional, got the job done properly and quickly, and answered the few questions that I had. My only quibble is that, as I was about to pay for the service, I was told that there would be a 3% charge if I used a credit card. I wasn't informed of this in advance and it isn't noted on their estimate/invoice form, so I wrote a check instead.

Called Amanda Plumbing because I detected a faint, intermittent natural gas odor outside near my gas meter, They came out and did a check with a gas detector and did detect a slight emission coming from the vent on regulator attached to the meter. Said it was normal for that to happen at the vent. I've read that elsewhere, so it made sense. They also did a gas line pressure test on the lines from the meter to the inside of my house, and found no leaks. I believe they did a thorough job and checked everything they should be expected to check. They were professional and courteous as well.
