"This is a service that no one wants to need, but when you hear water running inside your walls this is the company that  can find the leak accurately. Steve and his partner came out and, using sensitive sound equipment and a special blend of tracer gases injected into the plumbing  system, located the leak under our slab rather than in the wall where we heard it. Steve was able to locate the leak within a foot of where it actually was, and we subsequently had the foundation jackhammered, a hole dug several feet under our foundation, and the leak repaired by a plumber. His system is highly accurate  and we recommend him highly.

Jonas did a great job fixing a shower pan that had been installed incorrectly. He had to demo all the old tile and level the pan. He then resurfaced the base so that the water would drain properly. He sealed the pan and set the tile. The shower now drains properly and looks great!

I highly recommend Jonas as he is an expert tradesman. If you have a job that needs to be done correctly, and that will last. Give Jonas a call.

"Alvin was careful to explain prior to starting work that if he required extra supplies, etc it would be on top of the Angie's price. Also, that there was the possibility that it would not be a simple replacement. I expected that. The replacement turned out to be more complicated than I'd anticipated.
The plumbing pipes for hose bibbs are installed between the vertical studs. There is supposed to be a horizontal cross brace that secures the "inside" part of the bibb  with 2 screws into the wood. Turns out, when the house was built in 1997, no cross bracing was added inside the wall, so the unsupported pipe had been shifting each time we turned the faucet on or off for the past 17 years. So, when he went to remove the outside portion, instead of "unthreading" as it should have,  the copper pipe broke off at the joint inside the wall. In order to complete the repair, Alvin needed to make an access port on the interior wall. He very carefully sawed an 8x8" piece out of the drywall, added a wood cross brace to the existing framing, secured the plumbing pipe to it, then attached the new hose bibb on the outside. After completing the repair, he carefully re-fitted the piece to the wall and used some caulk I had to cover the seam.
We were charged only for the difference in supplies, not for the additional time involved, which I was grateful for. I was also relieved that we had decided to have this done. I hate to think about some day going out to turn the hose on or off and have a fountain inside the wall.
I felt he handled the situation very well, explaining to me along the way what the problem was and how he would fix it.

"When we set out to install a completely different heating and cooling system in our home, we wanted to feel comfortable that the investment we were making was a good one. So we investigated mini-split heat pump technology. Mitsubishi and Fujitsu seem to be the leading producers of these energy-efficient systems. We asked for competitive bids from two sources and awarded the work to Williams Mechanical, LLC of Albuquerque, a family-owned heating, cooling and plumbing business. We're glad we did. From our initial meeting with owner Annette Meier and Comfort Consultant & Install Manager Mike Mollica until our project was completed, we were delighted with the friendly and professional bearing of everyone who worked on the installation. At the same time, we also elected to replace our elderly 50-gallon water heater. It was installed in a single day. As part of the changeover to the mini-split system. Williams removed our two evaporative coolers (which they donate to the needy) and sealed the roof openings. Because our Pueblo style home features several different roof levels, it presented unique challenges for the Williams installers. They dealt with them carefully and professionally. Throughout the process, our questions were answered courteously and patiently, noise and disruption were minimized, and cleanup was done daily. Brett, Alex, Anthony, others — all were great to work with. In short, Williams Mechanical met or exceeded all our expectations. We recommend them highly. David & Beth Wiley"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Some of the most common plumbing problems in mobile homes are frozen pipes, leaking pipes, clogged drains, and low pressure. Since the pipes in a mobile home aren’t as insulated as those in a standard build, they’re more susceptible to fluctuating temperatures and damage.

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

While stainless steel is quite durable, it is susceptible to scratching. If you use rough, abrasive cleaning tools like steel wool or brushes, you may wind up with scuffs in your stainless steel sink. Additionally, harsh household chemicals including chloride bleach can damage your sink’s finish and decrease its life span.

It is best practice to hire a plumber to install a bathroom sink and vanity. Even simple installations require basic plumbing work, such as connecting water supply lines and attaching the sink to the drainage system. While an experienced DIYer might manage a straightforward setup, any complex work, like modifying existing plumbing or installing new lines, should always be left to a licensed plumber to avoid the risk of expensive water damage. In most cases, a plumber will handle the installation, provided it is a straightforward job that does not require custom carpentry. It's important to outline your expectations with the plumber beforehand to confirm they can handle the full project.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.
