Customers say: Quality work

"I am so pleased with Innovative Design. They are so professional. They put up with extremely cold temperatures and never stopped working. The Pergola is better that I expected it to be. Please use this company and you will be as happy as I am."

"Our home is 40 years old. L & S Construction has completed several projects for us to make our home more safe, efficient, and comfortable. We are very pleased with the professional results. They leave the property clean. Their knowledge and expertise help us problem solve and give us a home that better suits our needs. For lack of space here, I have condensed the various projects into a list with minimum description: 1) tore down and removed all the debris of an out building; 2) removed rotting and fallen wood fence and replaced with new wood fence, including stain to preserve it; 3) repaired, replaced, and added rain gutters as needed; 4) removed yard litter; 5) installed a new mailbox and post; 6) remodeled garage area to move workspace from an outside building;; 7) organized that outside building for efficient storage; and 8) remodeled inside our home to provide closets for a waterless water heater, soft water, system water filter, and system humidifier."

"Let Happy Homes Lath & Plaster and Roofing. L.L.P. take the stress out of any remodeling project you may have. They did the following projects for my husband & I: Installed a new front & back door. Completely did the stucco work on my home & work shop. Painted our storage building & a new fence that was constructed on back yard this past spring. The crew truly worked many long hours in the hot sun getting the jobs done. Lastly, for twenty years I have been looking at sheet rock in our garage that my husband was going to get to. I now have a finished garage that I can actually use this winter to park my car in. They are able to finish a wide range of projects and they were reasonably priced to fit our budget."

"Daniel and his crew did a good job planning and completing the project of adding 500 sq ft to the back of my house. That included demolition of back porch and fireplace, expanding the living room, primary bedroom, primary bathroom and large walk-in closet. We worked well together in the design and execution of my dream home. The best way to communicate with Daniel is by text."

"Albert was awesome! I would use him again. It was a very involved remodel which included: Laying Saltillo and Tala Vera tile in the kitchen, dining room, hallways baths and stairs; (The Saltillo and Tala Vera tile laid together were different thicknesses, so that was VERY complicated) Installed Tala Vera kitchen backsplash; Installed a complex heated flooring system under the tile; Installed a circulating system for the hot water; Removed bathroom vanity and replaced with new cabinetry, adding A new pier cabinet on top of the vanity, and new cabinetry over The toilet; Removed master bathtub and replaced with new bathtub; Removed old shower and replaced with new shower and all new Tala Vera tile; Replaced all plumbing fixtures; Painted the entire house; Oversaw carpet installation. Everything was done on budget and on time. It is all just beautiful. Albert was great to work with and I'd use him again. I cannot recommend him highly enough."

"Walter and his crew are fantastic. The are the ultimate in Professionalism and customer service. There was no charge to provide me and estimate and he began work on August 13th 2025 and completed the work on the 14th before noon. I know nothing about sprinkler systems; he explained everything to my understanding and completed the work efficiently. He left my yard in the condition it was before he started. No one can tell work was even done on my yard. Left no Trace."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Tile removal costs about $2 to $7 per square foot unless you do it yourself. When you hire a pro, tile installation costs $5 to $45 per square foot. Costs vary widely, but they depend on the tile material (custom-made stone tiles cost significantly more than plain ceramic tile), location, and tile size.

Most codes require 15 inches on either side of the toilet's centerline (from the wall or vanity) and at least 21 to 24 inches between the toilet and the wall in front of it. These codes ensure that your toilet is easy to use and access, even in small bathrooms. Check your local building codes for the exact measurements required.

Depending on the type of renovations needed, the cost to build an ADA bathroom ranges between $700 and $8,050. On average, most homeowners pay around $4,375 for this remodel. This type of remodeling requires following strict ADA accessibility guidelines to ensure a universal design.

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.

While a custom shower costs more and is trickier to install than a prefabricated type, tailoring the layout is particularly useful in small bathrooms with limited space and offers complete design freedom. You can build a shower bench for a family member with limited mobility or a shower niche (built-in, ingressed shelves) to hold clutter and act as a focal point.
