Ralph shows up on time, is reasonably priced, and always picks up the phone (and responds to texts, which is a big plus for me). He doesn't shy away from difficult problems and can even recommend contractors for other types of work that need to be done. "First of all, Jimmy explained in detail what needed to be done, gave me a price and then he installed a new sump pump, check valve and piping in the basement and his helper replaced the piping under my kitchen sink and also in the basement. "Needed leaky water valve repaired and sewer system unclogged. Came within 45 minutes of my desperate phone call. Installed new valve and new copper piping. Could not flush clog from inside, so came next day and dug 7' hole in front garden to remove the clog. Also installed vertical pipe to access any future sewer problems. Work crew had to dig out two big bushes to access the old sewer pipe at my home's foundation but replanted them along with any tulip bulbs they displaced. It turned out that the "French drains" were a trench at the edges of the basement and a sump pump. The drains were not piped to the sump pump. Moreover, Lou returned with a crew member the day after the job was completed to reconnect my utility sink, washer and dryer and move them back into place free of charge.
