"I called Ralph on Sunday as pipe broke under kitchen sink. I sent him video of the problem and we set appointment for Monday as he was able to squeeze me in on short notice. Ralph and his assistant, Peter came and Ralph gave me an estimate of the job. I said go ahead. Ralph and Peter did the following: Removed and replace drain waste line, dishwasher tail piece and new stainless steel basket strainer, new nuts and washer for connections. They ran water multiple times to test the system. Ralph was not happy with one of the connections, even though no water was leaking. He just did not feel right about it as if it was his own home and replaced the connection again. It's nice to see someone who takes so much pride in his work and will not finish the job until he is satisfied that it was done right. Will definitely hire again."

"First of all, Jimmy explained in detail what needed to be done, gave me a price and then he installed a new sump pump, check valve and piping in the basement and his helper replaced the piping under my kitchen sink and also in the basement. He gave me an estimate the same day and the price was completely fair. I scheduled a full French drain installation for 2 weeks later. Six crew members arrived on time and finished the job pre inspection in 1 day. Post inspection, which easily passed, they came back the day after and finished in half day. They were all very polite and respectful to my family and home. French Drain Installation can be a dirty job but they managed to keep my home free of dust, bringing all equipment and materials thru the basement window. I now have a very clean and neat drain system with covered sumps and a single exit pipe. I highly recommend Blue Umbrella for any basement waterproofing needs, couldn't ask for better."

"I can't say enough good things about American A-1 Waterproofing. Roland and his team were amazing. I had originally opted to go with another contractor to install a French drain and sump pump, but after exposing the foundation, they got spooked and said they wouldn't perform the work. Roland came by and assured me his team could get the work done and they did not disappoint. Through the initial estimate, permitting, construction and final sign off, Roland and his team were communicative, prompt, clean, and extremely professional. "They came out on a weekend and we're our saving grace during one of the most frustrating experiences we've had in this house. We couldn't use any plumbing without flooding the basement with sewage, it was early stay at home days, and we felt like we would go mad. They showed up and gave us an price for replacing the broken pipe, and set in to work. They worked for the entire weekend essentially, staying extremely late at night and showing up early the next morning, and at one point driving far out at night to get supplies since their usual local place was closed (again, quarantine time) . The reason it took so long was because after opening up the floor to get to the end of the pipe to replace it they found more damaged pipes, and replaced those as well. By the end of it they had spent the entire weekend on a job they expected to only last an afternoon, had charged us not nearly enough for the amount of work they did, and fixed a leaking bidet we had for free for good measure. They also advised us to do camera scan to look for any other problems, which they couldn't do until the water drained out, and even did an initial mop of the basement (which, remember, sewage flooding). I'm honestly half convinced these people are magic helpful brownies or something, it's unreal how helpful they were! Somehow our drier which has not succeeded in drying clothes for over a year has started working in a single cycle since they left, despite the fact they didn't even do anything with it, and in fact specifically said they don't do driers and offered to recommend someone else when we mentioned it. Suffice to say, I cannot recommend them highly enough"
