Ralph discusses all options, explains the problem and potential solutions, and brings decisions to the homeowner to make (most plumbers and contractors that I have worked with before will make the decision and not let you know about it). Ralph shows up on time, is reasonably priced, and always picks up the phone (and responds to texts, which is a big plus for me). He doesn't shy away from difficult problems and can even recommend contractors for other types of work that need to be done. "Needed leaky water valve repaired and sewer system unclogged. Came within 45 minutes of my desperate phone call. Installed new valve and new copper piping. Could not flush clog from inside, so came next day and dug 7' hole in front garden to remove the clog. Also installed vertical pipe to access any future sewer problems. Work crew had to dig out two big bushes to access the old sewer pipe at my home's foundation but replanted them along with any tulip bulbs they displaced.
