"Ralph and his associate Peter were great: knowledgeable and professional. My issue was a leaking toilet. They worked me into their schedule, and arrived the day after I spoke with them to fix it. Immediately diagnosed the problem, and repaired it. Cleaned up before they left. I will be using them to replace a hot water heater as well."

"The mason who rebuilt my chimney was a master mason in my opinion as he didn't splash concrete on the brick surface as many mason's do. The chimney looks beautiful... it's a shame that I'm the only one who will probably notice it. They also installed a stainless steel chimney liner and cleaned my fireplace chimney. I was very pleased with the outcome."

"Amazing Service! My main sewer line backed up late last night, causing a huge mess and a lot of stress. Mo arrived within an hour. He was incredibly professional, quickly diagnosed the problem, and cleared the line promptly. Everything returned to normal quickly, and he cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The speed and efficiency are appreciated.""

"We are first time home buyers and George did an excellent job showing us where plumbing and leaks may be an issue for the house that we are purchasing. We ended up finding a red flag with the sewer lines in the basement. We highly recommend first-time home buyers to do a sewer line inspection before buying as it can help save a big headache for the future!"

Sewer Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

It’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to unclog a sewer line using a drain snake or drain cleaner. If you hire a professional, you should expect them to be on-site for three hours or less. In addition to clearing the clog, they’ll do other routine inspections, which adds to the overall time (and cost) required.

If you don’t have a sewer cleanout, clearing out clogs can be extremely difficult. You would need to try to clear the clog from sink drains, but it can be harder to reach the clog all the way in the drain line. A sewer cleanout makes it much faster and easier for pros to clear clogs from your main sewer line.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

Snaking a toilet is similar to clearing sinks and bathtubs, but there are unique circumstances where you’d have to drain, disassemble, and remove the toilet to fix the clog. For stubborn clogs in the toilet trap, a toilet auger—designed with a shorter cable and a protective plastic encasing—can navigate the tight bends and clear the clog without risking damage to the porcelain.

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).
