"We received bids from Artistic Landscapes and one other provider. We were impressed by Chris's professionalism and his design. We also thought his pricing was very fair. This patio project was completed in two days, and the results were absolutely amazing. Chris's team arrived promptly in the morning, were extremely respectful of the space, worked extremely hard, and cleaned up after themselves. I was particularly impressed that after completing the patio, two members of his team returned to place new sod and grass around the patio where the machine had torn up the grass, the painstaking effort they put into making it fit the curves of the new patio, and, again, the cleanup. The attention to detail was very impressive--I even saw some of Chris's workers on their hands and knees making small chips in the antique-looking, rustic stones we chose to make it look more authentic. We have received many, many compliments on this new patio and feel that it was money very well spent. No funny business, no hidden charges (when Chris found that subterranean structure and had his team remove it, he told us about it so we weren't surprised by the extra charges), and he stayed within the original estimate, notwithstanding the unexpected structure. "Randy Gardner responded immediately to my request for a visit and estimate. He looked inside and outside, and told me I did not need to go to the expense of the drain tile and waterproofing. He said the house (build in 1917) had settled, and that the sidewalk along the side of the house was sinking toward the house, resulting in the water in the basement. He recommended removing the existing sidewalk, and laying new concrete with the proper slope away from the house. Although it was not a cheap fix, it was half of what I feared it would cost.
