"Material was deliver & after a weeks weather delay job started with foreman arriving early to verify all materials were on site. Crew showed up on time, reviewed job with foreman & got set up & right to work on my small re-siding job. I had removed old siding so new siding install & cleanup was done in 4 Hrs. Foreman reviewed finished work & wanted to add more caulking & crew came back the same day to complete. Product was good quality & install was per manufacturer. Extra material was removed in a couple of days"

"Experienced a leaking roof during the first big rain storm of the spring. After contacting several roofing companies, Joe with TD was the only one able to respond the same day (May 9). Joe arrived on time and found the cause to be a poorly assembled roof vent which caused water to pool and eventually leak into the exhaust. Joe was able to schedule us for a repair he guaranteed for around 7 years, and despite some delays due to windy/rainy weather completed the work within a few weeks.

However, a second large rainstorm blew through on June 1st. We awoke to found a large amount of water pooled on our stove top and in our cabinets over the stove, including some that drained into the microwave itself. Joe was able to return a few days later, and while it appeared part of the issue was straight line winds blowing water directly into the vent pipe (the potential cause of the water on the stovetop) he found that in the process of correcting the vent installation they had neglected to caulk a few spots along the edges, which created a gap that water was able to run through and down into the kitchen.

Joe fixed this new leak, and asked us to follow up with him if the microwave needed out of warranty repair/replacement due to the water from the leak.

There has since been a third significant rainstorm (June 18-21) and no additional water has come into the kitchen. Also, an LG service agent determined that while water had seeped into the microwave due to the leak, this had only caused a temporary issue which resolved itself once the moisture inside evaporated. Within a week the appliance was working without issue."

"I needed a rush job done to insulate and attic to sell a house (~2,700 sq-ft. attic). They did a great job! Arne's communication was perfect. And his crew also kept us totally informed as to what was happening. They came...they did the job quickly and neatly...and they left! The attic looks fantastic. Simple and easy. I would hire them again in a second."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on window size, type, material, and labor. Custom shapes or sizes typically incur higher expenses; full installation includes removing old windows.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

To find and hire a reputable contractor for an egress window installation, you should first research local professionals and then vet your top candidates. Start by searching for local contractors who specialize in this type of work, read their customer reviews, and examine their website and portfolio. Once you have a shortlist, contact them to ask key questions: Are you licensed and insured? What is your specific experience installing egress windows? Can you provide references from previous customers? Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors? What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule? How do you handle payment?

Egress windows are typically required for basements with habitable space or living quarters. Not all basements or lower levels require egress windows. However, egress windows are required in homes with living spaces such as bedrooms and living rooms in a basement. The International Residential Code and International Building Code require sleeping rooms to have a specific size egress window. Check your local building codes to confirm the requirements in your area.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.
