Customers say: Quality work

"

They did a great job, and we have plans to redo a bathroom. I will totally hire those guys to do the electrical. They were just as helpful, friendly, and nice as you could ever want. It was wonderful. They're helpful, and they're willing to make sure everything is perfect. I just thought they were efficient, helpful, they were professional and they knew what they were doing.

"After I requested for a quote on Angi's, Josh (the owner) called me right away and sent the estimates by email. He was very prompt in replying to all my email inquires which was really great.. The estimate I received was very reasonable. Setting up an appointment was a breeze. The guys who came to do the work (Tony and Jack) were both amazing.. very professional and courteous, they worked meticulously and did a thorough job, explaining what needed to be done and even offered advise on location of some of the new recess lights (which was extremely helpful). Would highly recommend Voltron Power to all my friends and neighbors for any electrical work..!!! Five stars.. :)"

"Very happy with my experience with Mr. Electric. I have used them to put in my whole house generator. They were great. Sam Stone is awesome. He showed up on time and upgraded our panel box. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and Sam Stone for all electrical services"

"St. John Electric is fantastic. They came out right away. Went through what needed to be fixed, options to fix the problem and how much it would cost. As a realtor, I am picky about who I use and recommendâ ¦ Kevin was great!!! He will be my go to Electrician."

"Joshua came to my home because I’ve lost power in parts of my home. He took a look at my homes electrical system and then we sat down where he explained the issue to me. He worked hard and even pulled a permit for the job and because of his hard work my home has all of its power back on."

Sometimes you open up an outlet and you find this. I am glad that it did not turn into something more.

"Derek was excellent. Came on time and went right to work. Very fair pricing for the electrical work he did. There was no delaying or trying to oversell me. I would highly recommend giving him your business."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

New homeowners in Sterling Heights should prioritize an electrical panel inspection and upgrade if the panel is outdated. Install GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages to meet code. Consider whole-house surge protection to guard against Michigan’s frequent storms. Upgrading outdoor lighting and basement wiring can improve safety, while adding ceiling fans or smart switches boosts comfort and energy efficiency.

Helpful?

Watch for red flags like vague or unusually low quotes, requests for cash-only payments, or pressure to decide immediately. Be cautious if a contractor avoids discussing permits or won’t provide proof of insurance. Reliable Sterling Heights electrical pros will offer written estimates, use proper safety gear, and provide references from local projects, ensuring your electrical upgrades are completed safely and to code.

Helpful?

For minor electrical tasks in Sterling Heights, such as changing light bulbs, swapping out outlet covers, or resetting GFCI outlets, always start by turning off the power at the breaker for safety. Avoid touching wiring or opening electrical panels. If you notice moisture near outlets or need to replace switches, stop and contact a licensed electrical contractor familiar with Sterling Heights home wiring requirements.

Helpful?

Schedule electrical work in Sterling Heights if you notice frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that feel warm. Homes built before the 1980s or with outdated wiring should be inspected for safety. After heavy storms or before winter, consider a professional home wiring inspection to ensure your system meets local code and can handle seasonal demands.

Helpful?

When hiring electrical contractors in Sterling Heights, ensure they have experience with local homes and are knowledgeable about city-specific codes. Look for proof of insurance, detailed written estimates, and references from recent projects in Sterling Heights. Reliable pros will discuss necessary permits, warranty their electrical repairs, and communicate clearly about timelines and safety protocols throughout your project.
