John and his team did a fantastic job. I had 2 smaller projects to brick up hole left by a in wall A/C unit and replacing a door sill. John called me to set up a time to stop by and take a look, prepared a quote on the spot, and I think the work was completed in less than a day. John was very prompt, professional and full of knowledge regarding the project. He even knew where to get the matching brick which I know is not always and easy task. I would recommend John and his crew (his sons) any day of the week for projects big or small.

John and his sons did a wonderful job repairing two porches with masonary and added steps to each porch. Outstanding job. Would recommend them.

Professional

I wish you could give a higher rating than 5 stars because Mr. LaFata, his sons and team deserve that. We hired them to redo our driveway and some cement in the back and we could not be happier with the work they did! Everything looks amazing and they are very respectful, trustworthy, fast, friendly and professional. They even interacted with our son who was amazed with the cement truck! We will be recommending them to everyone that we know and we will only use them for any cement/brick work we need! Thank you LaFata family and crew!

Pleasant to work with

Thorough, fast, fair.

Very professional until after the work is done. Well, lets start there, partially done. Many areas where the mortar needed to be replaced/filled in were missed, even in areas where bricks were replaced. Clean-up was horrible. The mortar was left all over the patio, chunks of mortar and brick were left on the patio awning which was then/still is washed down by rain. There are also many areas where the mortar was just slapped on to take the easy way out, those spots are cracking already. Work was done only 2 weeks ago. After multiple calls and texts, John never tried to get back to me. John and his boys (who do the work not John) came & did work for a neighbor two doors down a week later. Again John made o attempt/effort to get in touch. I wish I could have warned that neighbor. Luckily I prevented another neighbor from making the same mistake when they asked if I recommend Lafata Construction. NOPE....look elsewhere. I went with Lafata Construction because of Johns personality and knowledge, what a major letdown. I should have gone with the company that was only $100 more, which included more work. You live and learn. Work was mediocre at best. I do not recommend them.

Working with this company was great. Everyone was really friendly and the work looks great!

Hired John and his sons to do a small concrete job around my inground pool, John showed up right on time as promised for his quote, gave me a couple of options, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. came one day to cut out my old broken slab then gave me a day to complete my skimmer replacement and came back to pour the new slab around it. He and his sons did excellent work, I cannot recommend them enough. Other companies were not nearly as thorough or receptive as it was a somewhat small job, A++ guys, thanks for the great work.

John and his sons were very professional, very personable and did a great job on our chimney that was falling apart and the base of our house which had many broken bricks. They were able to find virtually the same brick, which took lots of effort as they were pretty rare. Top notch service and people. In addition, the price was much lower than other estimates we received.

If any craftsman deserved 6 stars it would be John LaFata and his sons! Hired them to repair severely damaged bricks on our chimney and below the front porch, as well as some angled bricks underneath a window sill. Learned from John that those are called soldier bricks. That is the real value here -- John is a wealth of knowledge, which he freely shares as he inspects your job. His sons Gio and Marco are just as friendly, all the while working with skill and speed. They said the job (chimney, front porch, window sill) would take two days and it did. Even when I added a chimney cap and filling in an old milk door opening, they did not flinch and the added cost was minimal. The LaFata team arrived promptly each morning, worked carefully and safely, took the time to protect surrounding landscaping, and fully cleaned up at the end of each day. Absolutely the type of professionals that would likely earn the praise of a prominent Canadian home renovation TV host. This was a brick project and LaFata is already my only choice for a future driveway concrete project. Bonus: They like dogs, which is great since we have a couple. The days they worked at my house also just happened to be two of the warmest, most humid we have had so far this year but that did not affect this team one bit -- nor did the loss of power for an hour one afternoon. I recommend this business without any hesitation.

A family owned business, reasonably price, will be using they for future brick projects. Everything took a reasonable amount of time, and was clean when they left.
